The Crush

The thing I crave the most it seems I cannot have

As your silhouette diminishes

I'm left alone and broken

Wanting and  wishing for more of you

If only a brief interlude

This crush I have won't leave

It seems as if I've underestimated this fantasy

As in my dreams I see your face

I see your smile of warmth that blankets me

All this time and here we still are, untouched

We speak at night

Speaking all this while

Sometimes flirty

Mostly dirty

But we continue to play this dangerous game

The fluttering feeling in my stomach

Filled with butterflies

As your voice I hear on the phone line

Do you feel the same?

Or is this all just a game?

The teasing nature you exhibit

Leaves me crushing and wanting so much more

A wicked creature you are

To string me along

Do you know my heart?

That smirk you wear

It rips through me

Crushing me like tin can

Empty and desolate

Longing to be filled with the remnants of you

Bring your fill to me

Abundantly

Even a sip will be welcomed

As it will wet my appetite

Driving me insane but at least I get to taste you

Insanity is a more welcomed state

As you're out of my league

Words I've heard far too many times

They become believable after awhile

You're wicked but I still want you to be mine

You are my crush
