Angel I'm Proud

Proud
So proud
You are an extension of me
The very best part undeniably

Your smile infectious
Your love free and never expecting reciprocation even though I give it freely
Because you make it so easy

You are beautiful in every way
Soul, mind and vessel
Your soul is what I'm most proud of
It's innocent and forgiving
Even when you lose it always seems you are winning

When you are sad
I can't even tell
You continue your happiness without end
Even when ill you still have a twinkle in your eye
You're like an Angel sent from above to guide me when lost
To nurture me as I do you

So giving of your heart
So giving of your energy
Your laughter that brightens my sad days
Forcing me to shine
And often my troubles I forget
Because you are the best part of me yet

You are what I always hoped to be...the better part of me
Often I believe you are my Guardian Angel in disguise
Seems you asked God to compromise
Because you saw me from up above and deemed it necessary
To bring directly your undying love
