The Glimpse

There's this emptiness in me at
this moment in time
I feel like I've died a thousand deaths
Sentenced with loves pain and heartbreak

Your voice is all I need to hear
Telling me everything will be alright
I long to hold you close
And whisper I love you's for the rest of our lives

I've been given this glimpse
A life without your laughter
And it scared me beyond any fear I've even felt
It made me realize more my love for you
How deeply it runs and it stretches around the world touching every piece of land
It journeys through the depths of the oceans
It even reaches unknown galaxies
This is how deep my love is for you and I'll love you for as long as I have breath

What a glimpse to make me aware of the things I take for granted
But this glimpse even though scary I'm so very thankful for its truth
Because it leads me straight back to you

I love you
And I long to hear your voice again
I long to have you near and not so very painfully far way

When I thought you were gone
A panic set in
Eyes swollen from tears of fear and regrets
Things I wanted to say but never said

I thought another chance I would never get
To prove how deep my love goes
It has mutated into this growing enigma that I too can't seem to understand

I'm hopelessly devoted to you
You and your wonderful ways
The way you love me
The way you never fail
I love you till the end of my days
