Chapter Thirty-three

We came to a stop at the end of a the hall, Liz pushed the door open and I was surprised. Well not entirely. Jason was sitting on one of the long seats, with a glass of red win. The person next to him I wasn't expecting to see here. He was still in his work clothes, the sleeves of the shirt rolled up half way and his tie loosen.

"What are you doing here?"

"What? Can't I have a drink with friends?" His smirk visible, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

"Whatever!"

"I invited him, I thought we could all have a drink together. Just the four of us." Liz said pulling me to the seat that Joshua was sitting.

"I appreciate the fact that you guys don't think that I'm underage to be drinking" I voiced sarcastically as I sat down next to Joshua.

"Oh please Sam." She just brushed it off. She went over to Jason and gave him a kiss.

Joshua settled back in the seat. "So where is my kiss?" He wispher in my ear.

His he serious? "No"

"Too bad, I was so looking forward to it" the way he said it sent a shiver through my body.

"Here you go, non alcoholic beverage for the light drinker."

"Ah ah. Funny" I said to Liz taking the glass of non alcoholic champagne.

She should be lucky that this was her boyfriends club or else she would be drinking anything stranger that soda.

"So how is the business going Joshua?" Jason was sitting next to Liz. She seem so happy and I was happy that she's happy. Just by seeing how happy they are it makes me wonder if I will ever be privileged to that same happiness.

My attention automatically went into Joshua's direction. He was telling Jason about the new hotel in South Korea.

Maybe it wouldn't hurt.

The ringing of Joshua's phone brought me back to the room.

His face turned grime when he saw the caller ID. "I should take this!" He left the room, closing the door behind him. Must be one of his many girls.

"So Sam, how are things?" Jason asked across from me.

"Ok, I guess."

"Samantha here refuses to give Josh a slice of the cake. Please tell her that she's being mean" Liz spoke next to josh.

"Liz are you serious? Stop it" Now I was wishing it was a glass of wine I had.

"Liz!" Jason stopped her.

"What? You knew I always speak my mind before we started dating. I thought you said that's why you love me"

"Yes and many more things" Jason had a flirtatious smile on his face which could hold any female captive if he wanted to, his eyes running up her body.

Liz just played along. "Yea? Like what?" I just sat there hoping that they don't start making out.

Jason leaned in for a kiss. Are they being serious right now? I'm like right here for crying out loud.

"Um. I'm still here you know!"

"Then dont look." Liz managed say between kisses.

Great. Stuck in a room with two adults acting like horny teenagers. I tried looking anywhere else but in there direction. The room was a reasonably size, two of the walls where glass. I got up and walked over to one of the glass wall cause I was tired of hearing them swapping germs.
