8. Poisoned

Clary had managed to give Lena enough strength to finally wake up from the demon blood. She then looked around to find she was in another strange place.
"Where am I?" She asked as she continued to look around.
"You're at the New York Institute," Clary answered. "You've been poisoned by demon blood."
"I figured something happened," Lena said hoarsely. "I feel like I'm gonna be sick." Lena leaned over the bed she was lying on and started dry heaving into an empty bucket. Clary just stsyed close to her in case she needed anything. Finally Magnus arrived with Alec following close behind him
"I have a potion for her to keep the demon blood from killing her," Magnus announced. "I'm trying to work on a cure for this as well."
"I need to talk to Jace and Clary alone," Alec said seriously. They both nodded and followed Alec out of the infirmary.

"So when did Sebastian have a kid?" Jace asked when it was just the three of them alone.
"Nobody knew Jace, but that's not the point" Alec continued on. "So when do plan on telling them?"
"Telling who?" Clary asked.
"Your children," he said. "You're twin children who they really are."
"Well things are so messed up right now and-" Jace started to say, but he was interrupted.
"I'm tired of the excuses!" Alec shouted. "Don't you two even care anymore? Matthew and Veronica deserve the right to know the truth!"
"You think I don't know that Alec?" Jace shot back. "We haven't been in their lives for twelve years, who knows how they will react. This is going to take time to think about how we can even approach this."
"Right now we need to tell this boy who he really is and what is going on with Fae and demons," Clary spoke up. "We will talk to Veronica and Matthew later on."
"It's your call," Alec reluctantly agreed. "But you need to remember that this demon blood doesn't make her like Sebastian."
