It was a very cold and wet night when Lena finally returned to the Brooklyn Institute. The floor around her was damp from her shoes and from the drops of water falling from her tangles of wet golden locks. She felt like utter shit, so she could only imagine how she looked. Lena had hoped to come back and return to her room without out a disturbance.
Unfortunately for her Alec was waiting as soon as she came in.
"So, you finally decided to come back home." She stood in silence; Lena didn't want to tell anything about what is happening to her or about any information Jonathan Morgenstern enlightened her about.
"Alec I know I've been gone for a few days but-"
"You've done more than that Veronica," he interrupted her. "You have managed to scare the living shit out of anyone staying at this Institute. Nobody knew where you went." Just by the look Alec was giving her, Lena knew he wasn't playing games.
"I am aware of that," she spoke hoarsely. "I will tell you everything tomorrow, just please let me go to my room without letting anyone know I have returned." She had no energy to agrue with him. She barely had the energy to even move. As this blood coursed through her veins, Lena felt the life draining away as each minute passed.
"Alright I'll do it this once," Alec finally said. "Only this once though."
"Thank you so much" Lena thought before using the last bits of her energy to get to her room and collaspe on her bed. Lena knew she wasn't gonna get any better, she felt the life force fading away at a very scary pace. Finally she gave in to the darkness consuming her.
