~Many months later~

The Doctor was blabbing on and on about a planet called Grock that housed aliens that looked like dragonflies. We had just got back from the planet called Thysan, and I was still on edge from nearly plummeting off a 400 thousand foot cliff. We had started to travel more after my birthday and he showed me the most amazing sights. But I was shaken from falling and didn't hear what the Doctor was saying.

"…Or Izzy, we could go to Mashinon! They have many beautiful caves. When the sun aligns, it casts a rainbow through the crystals and makes a wonderful- Izzy?" The Doctor stops talking when he sees me on the chair. "I guess we can stay here for a bit. I’ll be fixing the flux control if you need me." He looks disappointed.

I get up and started roaming the ship. I pass a weird dressing room and find a room filled to the brim with instruments.

There were earth’s instruments and countless alien ones. In the middle there were five grand pianos in a circle, the seats turned in the middle so you couldn't see if there was someone else if they were playing. I walked up to a classic black piano, and sat down.  Never had I played before but I felt my mind numb a bit as I put my hands on the keys. I played a sad song full of grief but at the same time it sounded happy. It was complex and I felt myself slip into the music.

I saw me, little and happy, dancing in a flower field, laughing as butterflies surround me. I spin around and start to fly, or I felt like it. Soon the sun set and I landed I fell asleep in the warmth of someone’s arms.

My eyes open and I hit a final note then scoot away from the keys. A single pair of hands clapping made me jump. "D-Doctor! How long have you been there?" I spun to face him and he shrugged.

"It was really lovely. Does it have a name?" He leans on the door frame. I shake my head and looked at the ground. I walk towards the door and he asks, "Have you ever played before?"

"No, never. I just got lost in it and was playing..."

He gave me a weird look, "Really? Never? You sounded like a professional!"

He convinced me to play a song with him and he played wonderfully. We played many songs before I went to bed. He was puzzled, but let it go. As he turned out the light I drift into a sound sleep.
