Chapter 9: One year later

I screamed and bolted around the corner as a Sontaran came charging after me firing his laser. I ducked and slid into a room, propping myself on the ceiling. My arms burned and I tried to stay still.

How did I get here? Well, it started two hours ago.

Two hours earlier

''Izzy, grab the hammer! Hurry!'' the Doctor yells over the roar of the engines. I grab the hammer and place my foot on the leaver that I needed to flip.

''Here!'' I yelled, handing him the hammer.

''NOW PULL IT IZZY!'' he screamed. I yanked the leaver down and pressed two buttons. CLANG! The hammer smacked a metal bit.

The TARDIS jolts us both into one another and we tumble to the floor.

“Dad that was so cool! Can we do it again?'' I said between giggles. The Doctor stops laughing and looked at me funny,

''Did you just call me Dad?''

''Well yeah, I guess. That’s how I think of you; my dad. But if that bothers you I can just call you Doctor...'' I mumble blushing.

I hadn't meant to call him ‘dad’; it just slipped out.

He broke into a huge grin, "I would be honoured to call you my daughter."

"Really?"

"Always, my little Izzy." We hug and suddenly he bolts up, "Let's find out where we are!"

I smiled at him and we walk out into the middle of London. The TARDIS parked in well what looked like a park. He smelled the air and checked the wind. "Earth, London, 21st century."

I shrugged, "Why are we here?"

"I have no clue"

"What?"

"I haven't got a clue. Well, let’s look around!"

We spent a little while looking in shops, went on the London eye and then to a diner to eat. When the Doctor was ordering food, I saw a short man pickpocket another and I leapt to my feet. I couldn't let him get away with that! I ran out after him, not fully in control of my own legs.

I caught up to the pickpocket and pinned him to the wall, "Oi! You stole that wallet!"

"Well what is a little girl like you gonna do about it?" he sneered.

I grabbed his arm and flip him around so his face was pressed into the wall. I took the wallet back and knocked the man out.

"That." I muttered.

I started to run back to the diner when something grabbed my leg and pulled me down the street.

I woke up in a dark room. At least, I thought it was dark; I couldn't see my hands in front of my face. It was rather cold in the room and I was laying on something hard and metal like a table. I tried to sit up, but a firm strap held me down at my stomach, head and chest. My head throbbed and everything felt numb.
