~2 months later~
I sat alone in my new home that David and I had bought together. Today the tears wouldn't stop. On that night, David had been attacked along with a stranger. David had been severly wounded and had died in the ambulance to the hospital. I now work for Torchwood, and fight aliens. I get up wiping the tears away, despite the ones that replaced them moments later. Why today? Why these tears?
I look down at the ring that I wore on a chain around my neck. It would've been my wedding ring. I clutched it in my fist, feeling a bit closer to Dave as I did.
