Chapter 17
"So uhm...... I never caught your name." I say as I hand him the stack of books and papers.
"It's David, David Wright." he said with a small smile.
"Isabelle Smith, it's truly a pleasure!"
"Hey uhm....." he looks away looking adorably shy, "I know we uhm.... only just met but.... Do you wanna grab some coffee?"
I blush a bit, "A-Alright...."
I barely met the guy now we are going for coffee! Is he interested me .....?
We start chatting away, and honestly I started feeling relaxed and happy.
We reached one of my favorite local coffee shops that was nuzzle cozily on the busy street, and walk in. After getting our coffee and settle down in a booth. We talked like that for almost four hours before my phone rang and i smiled apologetically as i picked it up, "Hello?"
The line was silent for a moment, until a warbled voice said, "Knock knock, TICK TOCK!" I blink confused.
"Who is this?"
No answer. The dull static.
"Hello? Hello?" I try again.
The line goes dead and i blink confused.
"Everything alright?"David asks.
"Yeah, wrong number." I lie smoothly. It's odd, and a bit frightening how easily i can lie now.
David simply nods before standing, "Oh, it is getting rather late and i have to get home. Talk to you again sometime?" He says offering out a paper with his number on it. I take it nodding happily, "Bye David."

Chapter 18
~Six months later~
I am traveling with David in America, and we are going to a Baseball game in Colorado. We've been dating for five months now, and are rather close at the moment.Things sure had moved fast between us, but i couldn't say i wasn't happy.
We got to the stadium and sat through the first inning. Cheering and cuddling, and singing along to the crowds chants. It started to get cloudy, by the second inning, and at the start of the third it started to pour rain. and lightning lit up the sky. The game was posponed until further notice. And David begged me to stay for just a bit longer, but i was cold and wet, so i denied his request. I'd never seen him look so sad in his life. I couldn't figure out why.
(Third peron POV)
As the drenched couple left, David gave one last glance at the stadium monitor where they post birthday wishes, and other news and sighed turning away. Just as he did and they went out the main doors, five words flashed across the screen. 'Izzy will you marry me?'
(Izzy POV)
We got in the car and rode back to our hotel in silence.
"Dave? Is something wrong?" I ask, breaking the silence. David shook his head and i frown a bit, but let it go. He'd tell me in his own time.
