~ Sorry to my fans in advance for anything you find offensive in this chapter. As you know, this book was made dark and wrong, but we get our first glimpse at the Doctor! Or at least one of them... SPOILERS! This event will be explained later in the story. The end, enjoy!!!
Three years later------
I sit on the bedroom floor holding the present Amy had given me last year: a homemade doll made out of an old white glove and has a piece of black fabric around the middle- that was his outfit. He has two orange buttons for eyes; that's why his name is Buttons. I have to hide him from daddy, or else Buttons would meet his end in the No Room. I'm pulled out of my thoughts by the sound of Daddy's footsteps coming down the hall.
I bolt to my closet and hide Buttons in a shoe. After closing the closet I sit on the floor and stare at the wall as daddy enters the room. "Come out here, I want to play a game with you." I was shocked. Him? Play with me? Never had he played with me. The only reason I even knew what a game was is because Amy plays them all the time. When we got to the living room he sat down and told me what to do. The game is pretty much I stand with only my undies on while he looks at me from the sofa. We did this on a normal basis until a little before Amy gets here. That's the way it was for many days since.
One day Amy found out I had never gone outside- she'd just thought I was really pale naturally. So she told me we were going to a park. I had no clue what a park was but she said I'd love it. I wore a red shirt with a dark blue vest and shorts. Amy put my now loose curls into pig-tails. She then took me to the front door and opened it. It was amazing outside! There were trees, flowers, birds, bugs, grass and the sun! Amy told me about this stuff and soon we got to the park. There were a ton of kids running everywhere, playing and laughing. The park was so much fun! After playing with Amy and making daisy crowns, I noticed a grown man sitting alone on a swing looking kind of sad. Amy interrupted my thoughts by saying she'd get some ice cream and that I should run and play with some other kids. After she left, I walked to the swings where the man sat. I didn't know why, but he seemed different. He was tall, with brown hair and brown eyes with green flecks in them. What made him funny is that he wore a suit and a bow tie, which I knew nothing about! He just seemed out of place.
I walked over to him and sat on the other swing. After he didn't seem to notice me I said quietly, "H-hello, are you ok?"
He looked up at me startled, "When did you- Wait what?" he had an accent like the people on Daddy's television shows.
"Are you ok? You seem sad." I repeated.
"Oh, I am just different now and my friend- She just doesn't understand. Why are you talking to a stranger little girl?" he questions me.
"Well I'm sure your friend would understand if you explain why, and they'd probably still like you even if you're not the same. And I dunno, on a TV show they said strangers are just friends you haven't met yet, whatever that means. You just seemed sad." I didn't know where my replies had come from; I don't even watch TV.
He just chuckled at me and smiled a little, "You remind me of her, uh, I think that woman is trying to flag you over." he says nodding to Amy, who has two ice creams and is waving at me to come.
