I sat there, my back against the tree. My mind was numb and I felt betrayed.
He had left me, alone, with nothing but the clothes on my back. I pulled my sweater tighter around me and sat perfectly still. I had been here for a long time. I think it had been many hours, because the sun began to peek over the horizon. It was so bright and perky, I frowned at it. I wanted it to be dark and stormy, not bright and sunny.
I got up slowly, my stomach growled. My legs were stiff, but that was nothing compared to the blank spot in my heart. I did the only thing that I could; I walked away into the busy city.
My mind went numb as I looked back into the times we had spent together. He taught me so much; we shared many good laughs, and he showed me what having a real proper dad could be, but none of that added up.
If you love somebody then how could you leave them behind?
"RUN, RAINY!" a boy shouts from behind me. I was near a factory and a teenage girl rushes past, not even seeing me. I didn't see her all that well but I could tell she had long dark hair and was a teen. Suddenly a thin teenage boy about my age crashes into my shoulder, "Sorry, I gotta keep going!" he had the same voice that had shouted for the girl to run, but the really odd thing was that he was covered in what looked like green slime.
He smiled apologetically, and then bolts off running again. I look down at my sleeve where a good portion of the slime was and it seemed oddly familiar. I brought it to my nose and sniffed. My nose tingled at the thick stench and I sneezed.
It smelt like vinegar.... and sulfur..... The answer hit me like a two ton truck.
"Slitheen… why Slitheen?" I groan quietly.
I had encountered them with the Doctor and knew that when they explode, the slime is horrid to get out of hair. Luckily, this time I was prepared. I held up a vial that contained a good amount of vinegar that I had attached to my bracelet (bigger on the inside!) and charged after the pair.
If the Doctor wasn't here I guessed it was my job to fix this.
