Taylor's P.O.V.
A wave of nausea hit me as I opened my eyes to blinding light. I squinted them shut again and clasped my hands over my head. It felt as if the seven dwarfs had decided to mine for diamonds in my brain. Wow. I don't remember getting drunk last night. My mind was blank, and it felt as if it had been stuffed with cotton wool. Braving to sit up, I lifted my head from whatever I was lying on and looked about. I was lying on my sofa in my living room. There were numerous cups and glasses scattered all over the table, and there was rubbish and food packaging spilling from the sides of the sofa onto the floor. Brilliant. I groaned at the sight of the place, but instantly regretted it as another wave of sickness washed over me. I buried my head in my hands and looked down into my lap.I was still wearing my dress from last night, although it was a crumpled mess seeing as I'd slept in it. I pulled at the skirt in an effort to release some of the folds from the skirt, but all it did was mess it up even more. Sighing, I ignored the surge of pain from my head as I stood, and I stumbled my way to the kitchen. Again, cups and bottles littered the kitchen units, and I had to literally wade through a pile of toilet paper to get to the cupboards. Wait, toilet paper? I looked down upon the mountain of paper that covered the majority of my kitchen floor and wracked my brain for any recollection as to why it was here. But of course, I couldn't remember a thing. However, there were more important things on my plate, so putting the toilet paper to one side, I reached the nearest cupboard and searched for the coffee.
"Hey," I heard a grunt from behind me and I spun round in surprise.
"Bloody hell, you scared me!" I cried as I saw Kaya emerge from the hallway in a night shirt. She attempted at climbing onto a stool, and I watched as she failed. She stumbled for a moment, but regained her balance and slumped into the chair.
"Well good morning to you too!" She laughed half-heartedly, "Wow, what happened last night? How drunk did I get?"
"Um, well from what I remember," I drummed my fingers on the table as I thought for a moment, "You were already tipsy by eight o'clock."
"Really?" Kaya's eyes went wide, "Bloody hell!"
"Yeah, you might wanna work on that," I grinned, turning back to make coffee, "So I'm guessing then that that's two black coffees I'm making?"
"Make that three!" I heard a sleepy voice groan from the hallway. I looked startled at Kaya, and she just shrugged.
"Yeah, Dylan might want one too," She mumbled and rubbed her temples. Dumbfounded, I just stared at her with my mouth slightly agape and one eyebrow raised. Kaya looked confused when she saw me.
"What?" She asked innocently, "That's three black coffees instead of two. Not that difficult, Tay!"
"Um, why Kaya, is Dylan here?" I cleared my throat. She looked blankly for a second, but then avoided my gaze and looked intently at the floor.
"Um, I don't know," She mumbled quietly, nodding her head a little as she looked at the floor, "Hey, did you know that under this stool there are two floor tiles?" A smirk tugged at my lips, and I placed my hands on my hips.
"Kaya, please don't tell me what I think happened, happened last night?" I sighed. Her eyes suddenly went wide, and she sat bolt upright.
"Oh no no no no! That did not happen!" She shook her hands vigorously out in front of her and it took all my control not to burst into laughter.
"So why is he here, and calling from your room?" I grinned, "Is there something you wanna tell me?"
"Look, it was just one kiss alright?" She blurted out in a rush, "Just one! And you know, I don't really even remember it to be honest, but there you go. We only kissed once, and then when we went to bed he just collapsed on the bed and went straight to sleep! Nothing else happened!" By the end of her confession, Kaya was short of breath and breathing hard. The smirk that had started to grow on my lips earlier had grown into a full smirk, and a small laugh escaped me.
"I knew it!" I grinned, pointing at Kaya's bright red face, "Oh my God, I soooo knew it!"
"Yeah yeah yeah, whatever," Kaya said quietly, hiding her face in her hands, "And anyway, I thought you were meant to be making coffee? Chop chop, Cinderella! Your fairy godmother needs her meds!"
"Alright, alright," I chuckled, returning to make tea, "And would my fairy godmother like sugar in her coffee, or just plain black coffee?"
"Give me five sugars and a chocolate biscuit," Kaya replied, with her head now buried on the table, "And somebody please find some painkillers?"
"Whatever you say," I laughed, dunking five teaspoons of sugar into Kaya's mug.
"Urgh, Taylor will you turn your bloody phone off?" Kaya moaned, shifting her head on the table, "It's been vibrating non-stop now for about two minutes!"
"Oh, sorry," I said hurriedly, rushing to retrieve my phone from the plug socket, "I think it died last night and I must have put it in charge."
"Uh huh," Kaya simply nodded, clearly not interested. I rolled my eyes and opened my phone. I had 4 missed calls and 13 unread text messages.
"Huh, that's weird," I said quietly, taking a seat beside Kaya and unlocking my phone.
"What?"
"I've got 4 missed calls and a tone of messages come through," I said distantly, opening the messaging app on my phone.
"Well Taylor, it was New Year's Eve last night! I'm not surprised!" Kaya huffed.
"No no, that's not the weird thing," I hushed her, "They're all from Ben."
