Taylor's P.O.V.
"England?" I asked, not quite sure if I had heard him correctly.

"Yes, England," He smiled, "You're due to fly out there in three weeks' time, on March 3rd. We believe that the job will last a year, but we will get in touch with you should plans change. I will get reception to email you all the details." My heart thumped harder and harder, almost as if it were trying to get out of my rib cage. I was going home! I was going to see Sydney again! I was going to see Mia and Teddy again! Everything was going to be how it used to be!

"Thank you, Mr Thornton," I beamed, getting up from my chair, "Oh, you have no idea how pleased I am!"

"You're more than welcome!" He said, shaking my hand and then gesturing towards his piles of paperwork, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have this to start sorting through!" Laughing, I left his office, and my eyes locked with Kaya's, who was still watching me over the top of her desk. A broad grin spread across my face as I walked back to my desk and took my seat next to her.

"Sooo what happened?" Kaya asked, "And what's with the Cheshire Cat grin?"

"I'm going to England!" I squealed, jumping up and down on my chair.

"Wait what?" Kaya exclaimed, looking surprised, "England?"

"Yeah! They've asked me to go back there for a year and work as the head journalist at the newspaper I used to work for! I'm going to see my family again!" I couldn't contain my excitement! I hadn't been home in three years, and now I was finally going!

"Oh Taylor, that's amazing!" Kaya cried, wrapping me in a bone crushing hug, "Congratulations!" I smiled against her shoulder. But then something dawned on me, and I pulled away from her.

"But that means I'm not going to see you," I said sadly.

"Oh Taylor don't worry about that!" She laughed, "I'll come and visit you! I've not been back home since I moved here when I was 18! That was 9 years ago!"

"Of course! I keep forgetting you were born in England!" I laughed.

"Well duh? My accent kinda gives it away!" She giggled, "So wait. Where are you going to live?"

"Apparently, there is a flat for me to take, that the company has already organised."

"Oh well that's cool! So when do you leave?"

"Three weeks. On March 3rd I think Mr Thornton said."

"Okay, so that's not too soon, I guess," Kaya nodded her head slowly, "At least we'll be able to fit a few movie marathons in before you go!"

"You bet!" I grinned, "Wait a second! What am I going to do about the apartment?" I had bought my apartment only a year ago, and I couldn't exactly leave it! All sorts of problems could occur! And it's not like I had any family members living nearby who could just drop in every few days! That wouldn't be possible, or fair!

"Oh, urm," Kaya fiddled with her fingers in her lap for a moment before snapping her head up, "How about I move in?"

"You do what?" Kaya lived with her older sister, not too far from where I lived. She'd been living with her for the past year, ever since she had broken up with her boyfriend, and moved out of his place.

"Yeah! It's not exactly been ideal, me living with my older sister all this time, and you need someone anyway to look after your place! And who better than your trusty best friend!"

"Hm," I had to agree. Letting Kaya live at my place whilst I was away would be a good plan. At least it would get taken care of, and I had someone living there whom I trusted.

"You know what?" I said, nodding my head, "That is a great idea, Kaya!"
