This time, it's Our Chance

I woke up nauseated with pain and tiredness. And slowly opened my eyes just to be welcomed by this bright light just on top of me. I blinked a couple of times just to adjust to the brightness around me. 

God! Am I....dead??

Everything is white. Quiet even. I blinked more just to make sure. Then it hit me. Dang! I'm in a hospital.......Again.

Then everything flashed in my mind. From the accident until...until I collapsed.......in...Steph's arm.

Shit! Steph.

I remember everything now.

EVERYTHING.

But, what's bothering me is why did all those stuff happen?

My mind was getting dizzy with all this thinking, and then suddenly the door opened.

I stared at the visitor.

"Hey! You're finally up! That's great!" she smiled widely.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?"

"I'm Mica. You're attending doctor. You've been unconscious for 5 days. So it's good news that you're awake now. Tell me, how are you feeling?", she said while staring intently at me.

"I....I...I'm ok. Just a little dizzy. Uh, where is Doc Ishel? She's my doctor" I replied while lowering my gaze to my hands.

"Well Ishel is currently on an emergency leave and she won't be back until next month so she handed you over to me," said Doc Mica while arranging her things.

"Uhm ok," I just whispered. I'm feeling sleepy.

I lay down but still looked at what she was doing.

"Alright. Let me just check your vital signs and after that, I'll give your parents a call." she smiled again while running her check-up.

"Uhm can you not do that? I just want to know what happened to the girl who brought me here. I'll just inform you when to call my parents if that's ok. I.....I wanna surprise them" I looked down again. I'm getting conscious of all her staring.

"Ok. No problem. Regarding the girl, she lost consciousness after she brought you here. She still hasn't woken up yet" she said while scribbling down on her sheet.

"W---Where is she?"

"Just right in the other room. Her parents are with her"

Argh! What happened??????

"Can I visit her?"

"Well, that needs to be arranged, young lady. As soon na kaya mo nang maglakad at kumilos, I'll arranged you for a visit"

Now I smiled widely. 3 years. God! Why did I have to forget her of all people?

"Thank you." is all I can say to her.

"No problem. But don't thank me yet, you haven't recovered from your coma. Now, if you'll excuse me, I still have other rounds to do. Just tell me when to call your parents, alright? Anyway, may nagaalaga naman sayo dito." with that she walked away.

May nagaalaga saken??

Huh??

Oh crap! 

Si Aries.

But...........?

Dang...inaantok talaga ako. Tulog nga muna ko.

I opened my eyes to see someone inside my room.

Aries.

She looked at me then froze and then smiled widely.

"Love! Thank God you're awake!" she said and then ran to me and hugged me.

I just stared at her.

"Tell me, may masakit ba? What do you need?" Aries gently cupped my face.

No..no...no! 

Stop touching me!!!

"Nothing. I'm alright," I looked away.

I....I have to play along. I need to know what happened.

"Uhm, can you help me up? I need to go to the bathroom"

She happily obliged and assisted me in getting up.

"Please don't tell my parents yet. I---I wanna surprise them" I smiled at her.

She just nodded at me and helped me reach the joe.

Jeez. My legs feel like jelly.

After I freshened up and comfortably lay on the bed, I looked at Aries thinking what's her deal with all that happened.

"You need to eat, ok?" she said while placing a plate on the table right next to me.

"Ok."

She stayed until the evening before she went home.

I grabbed my phone and checked all my social media and then I remembered that the account I was using was a new one.

I tried opening my old account and lucky me, I was able to access it.

There, I was able to know what happened to her. She was active and all. And She's still single.

As I continue to scroll down, I notice one of her posts 2 years back--

*I've been dreaming about you but I don't know who you are. It sucks cause I can't see your face. I want to know who you are. In one of my dreams, you gave me a bracelet. And the odd thing is I have the bracelet. I'm wearing it. I hope I'll meet you soon, My Dream Angel.*

So she forgot about me too.

Crappy things happened and I intend to know who did this to us.
