A few days later.

Leo POV

I took a deep breathe. This was not going to be easy. I had liked her for a while now. The way she smiled, her cinnamon scent, her beautiful personality.

We we're at Piper's house, and I was about to ask Calypso to homecoming. I had a plan. It probably wasn't very good, but hopefully it would work.

I saw my chance when we were getting a snack.

"I can't open this stupid bag." Calypso groaned as she tried to tear a frozen food bag open.

I jumped in.

"Fear not!" I said. "I shall help the fairest maiden in the land!"

I took the bag and cut it open with a pair of scissors I had stuck in my trusty tool belt.

"Here you go miss." I said, bowing down as I handed it to her.

"My knight in shining armor!" She gushed.

"And now, as a token of my deed, will the most beautiful lady of the land give me the pleasure of escorting you to the dance?"

I saw her face light up and she blushed slightly.

"I'd love to Leo!" She said.

I grabbed a bouquet of flowers (fortunately the servants had just put a new GIANT bouquet of roses on the table that morning) and gave them to her.

"Thank you so much Leo." She said, and kissed me on the cheek.

I smiled.

"It's my pleasure, Calypso."

Everyone clapped for us. Piper hugged Calypso, and the boys congratulated me.

Annabeth POV

After an hour or two, the boys had left and Piper was talking to us.

"One of us has already been asked!" She announced, even though it was obvious. "I think we should go shopping tomorrow!"

Calypso and Hazel agreed excitedly, but I stayed quiet.

"Piper." I said. "I really don't like shopping."

"Come on Annie." She said. "It's going to be so much fun."

I sighed. "I'll go, but I won't enjoy it. And I'm not wasting a couple hundred bucks on a dress I'm going to wear once."

Piper shrugged.

"That's your loss, not mine." She joked.

Soon Calypso and Hazel were gone and it was just me and Piper. The servants brought some spaghetti for us, but I didn't touch it.

"Annabeth." Piper sighed. "You haven't eaten in days. Eat something."

"I'm not hungry. Really."

"When was the last time you ate?" She asked.

I hesitated. "I ate some food today. I swear." I lied.

I really hadn't eaten since I heard my dad had died. That was about a week ago.

She sighed. "Okay."

She left me alone for the rest of dinner but I saw her sneaking worried glances at me. Soon we went to bed.

*the next day*

I woke up at around 11:00 and saw that Piper was already up and dressed.

"Annabeth!" She said when she saw me changing. "You're finally up! Let's go! We're supposed to meet them at the mall at 12:00."

I groaned.

"I'll be there in a minute." I said groggily.

I slowly slipped on a blue sweatshirt and faded jeans along with white converse. I pulled my hair into a quick, messy ponytail then stomped downstairs.

Piper was grabbing her wallet.

"You're ready, great." She said. "Now let's go."

We jumped into her jeep. At around12:00 we got there. Piper greeted Calypso and Hazel, who were already there. I said hello to them too.

We sauntered around the mall for a bit before going into a store.

"Ooh that ones pretty!" We all goggled at the crazy beautiful dresses.

I heard a gasp and looked over at Piper. She was holding a dress with a black top. The skirt started high up and had a faded blue pink and purple floral pattern.

"I love this one!" She said.

"Piper it's beautiful!" I told her.

She tried it on and it fit perfectly. She gave it to the counter lady who would keep it for now until we we're ready to purchase. She also picked up black strapped heels.

Soon Calypso found a dress that fit.

It was a long, flows white one with beaded gold straps. It was simple, but beautiful. She found gold high eels to match.

Hazels was probably the most glamorous. She didn't strike me as that type of person, but here dress was gorgeous.  The top was a sparkly rose gold dress that went to mid thigh. It hugged her body and had gold, rose gold, and silver gems all over it. From it came a flow ly skirt that traveled down to the floor. It's was a transparent gold. She also got rose gold heels.

I had a harder time finding a dress. I had always been insecure about my fashion and how I looked, so I really wanted to find the perfect dress.

Finally I found one. It was a long flowy dark blue dress. The top of it was covered with gold beaded designs. I chose some gold heels to go with it.

"It's amazing!" Said Piper.

We checked out and walked around a bit more. I was ready to go home, but I didn't want to ruin the moment for my friends so I stayed silent.

After several hours, we finally came in and I immediately collapsed on the bed.

So here is finally an update! I know it's sucky, but I'm kind of on writers block.

I was going to put a picture of the dresses but something was wrong so it didn't work. I'll put them up when I can though.

I'll update ASAP. Bye!!
