Chapter 3

I awoke and Johnny was still asleep. He probably was very tired, so I didn't bother waking him. I walked to the kitchen and placed a cup under the tap. I then drank half the glass when I heard shuffling behind me. I turned around and saw Johnny rubbing his eyes with messy hair. How adorable.

"So, after we get dressed, I was plannin' on goin' to Pony's. Well, he invited us to go swimmin' at the lake with the gang." I said leaning on the counter top.

"Sure. I just need to stop by my house...." He had fear in his eyes.

"No need to. I'll get your swim suit at the store. I'll buy it. Just go take a long shower and get somethin' from the fridge." I said slipping on my shoes and walking to the store. When I got to the store, I was able to shoplift a pair of black swim trunks. I will not let Johnny go home. I walked home quickly, not wanting to get noticed by the socs. I opened the door to my house.

"Johnnycake! I'm homeeee!" I sang looking around the house. He ran towards me smiling.

"You have hot water!" He smiled, taking the clothing item from my hands.

"Take your time, JohnnyCake. I'll be in my room getting ready." I chuckled heading to my destination. I put on a red bikini, then slipping on booty shorts with an oversized shirt. I grabbed a towel.

"Johnny! C'mon! We gotta go!" I yelled. Johnny came out of the bathroom with a shirt and his swim trunks, holding a towel. We walked to PonyBoys house and let ourselves in.

"Just in time!" Pony smiled happily. We walked out the door again, Soda leading the way. We walked through the woods, eventually reaching a beautiful blue lake.

"Oh Pony!" I squealed "Its beautiful!" Just before he could respond, Darry threw him into the lake. I was laughing my ass off when I was lifted from behind by Soda.

"Heyy!!!!!" I flailed

"Pony, catch!" He threw me and I went soaring in the sky, then dropped into the water, but before I got my face wet, I was caught bridal style by Pony.

"Hehe. Thank you." I said and he set me down and faced him. "I have a question"

"Yes, y/n?"

"Can I study you?" I questioned

"What?" He chuckled

"Study you!" I laughed

"I don't know what you're talkin' about but sure" he shrugged.
I placed my hands on his face and examined his facial structures I traced his jaw line with my finger. Then I ran my finger over his lips. I looked into his gorgeous eyes. I touched his wet hair and smiled.

"Ponyboy, you're beautiful! You have a jaw line that could cut paper, beautiful eyes and hair. You have the face that could sweep a girl off her feet. Oh and your lips and skin are so soft." And so kissable I thought "any girl would be lucky to have you" I frowned. I couldn't imagine him with another girl.

"That's the best thing someone has said to me" he blushed then hugged me.
We ate lunch then swam some more. When it got dark, we all went to the Curtis' house
