Chapter 25

I woke up before anyone else. The sun hasn't even come up yet. I put on Ponys blue jacket and went outside. I sat on the porch steps and just admired the view. The sun was rising. It was beautiful. I needed time to myself. I love the gang and I love Pony. Just sometimes I need to get away from everything. I knew that wasn't possible. I couldn't be anywhere by myself without getting jumped. I crossed my arms, shivering at the brisk morning air. I yawned. Gosh. I really didn't wanna go to work today. I'm scared. Just the thought of yesterday caused tears to form. Just then I felt someone sit next to me. I looked over. It was Darry.

"Hey kid." He squinted at the sun.

"Hey.." I looked down.

"Soda told me about yesterday. You okay kid?" Darry looked at me with soft eyes, almost full of pity?

"I guess. Just a little...spooked. That's all." I rubbed my arms.

"I'll make you that never happens again. Now let's get you inside before you freeze to death." I nodded and sat up. Darry opened the door for me and we both walked inside.
I would usually make breakfast, but I just wasn't in the mood today. Besides, by the time the boys woke up, the eggs would be cold. Instead I took a shower and put on a black tanktop. I got into some blue jeans and threw on my DX shirt on, but didn't button it. I put my hair in a side braid and put my hat on backwards. I did my everyday makeup. I walked into the kitchen and began cleaning up the mess. Soda and Darry went somewhere around the house, but Pony helped me with the dishes by bringing them to the sink.

"You sure you want to go to work today?" He questioned, sitting on the countertop.

"Yeah Ponybabe. I have to. I gotta make it up to Darry somehow." I shrugged and started to dry the dishes when I felt a pair of arms wrap around me from behind.

"I'm worried." He said quietly

"I am too." I closed my eyes

"I don't wanna live in fear that something is gonna happen to my girlfriend. Therefore, I'm coming to work with you." Pony pulled me to face him.

"Great. I'm dressing you and getting you ready." I smirked and pecked him on the nose. I grabbed his hand and rushed to the bedroom. I picked a red shirt and some blue jeans.

"Off with your shirt. Now" I ordered and he just shook his head and pulled off his shirt. He didn't have full on abs, but he had the outline and it was damn sexy. I put the shirt over his head and put his arms through. I pulled the shirt down. "Off with the Pj pants."

"I love it when youre bossy like this" he giggled and pulled off his pajama pants. I put one leg in, then the other. I pulled them all the way to his crotch area.

"Stand up babe" when he did I pulled them all the way up, then slapped his butt playfully. "C'mon. To the bathroom!" I combed his hair then put hair grease in my hand and styled it the way he usually does.

"Are we done now?" He whined

"Nope!" I giggled. "One more thing." I applied a fresh layer of red lipstick and kissed him straight on the cheek, leaving a red kiss mark.

"Aw c'mon!" He looked at me with a bitchface.

"I claimed you. Now were gonna be late.!" I grabbed his hand and threw him his white converse. I wore my white converse too. Before we stepped out the door, I took a quick photo of us. It was a face shot. I was smiling and he was frowning, the kiss mark noticeable.

"That's a keeper." I grinned and Pony and I ran to the DX station.
