Chapter 27

I shifted in my seat uncomfortably.

"You okay?" Pony asked me

"Yeah, just my butt hurts." I chuckled

"I can fix that." Ponyboy winked and I laughed

"We'll save that for later." I winked. Just then Cherry turned around and smiled

"Oh hey Ponyboy!" She grinned happily. "Y/n.." She muttered rudely.

"Hey Cherry! What are you doing here?" Pony sat up in his seat happily

"Oh you know, seeing a movie. What about you? She turned her chair so that her whole body was facing us.

"Oh its my girlfriends y/ns birthday and I wanted to spend some time together." I smirked at his mentioning of girlfriend. Cherry and Pony were talking the whole time and I felt empty

"Two-Bit... can you come get some popcorn with me." I asked and he nodded. We got up and started walking slowly to the concession place thingy.

"I-I thought tonight was suppose to be about us.." Tears flooded my eyes and I quickly wiped them away.

"Me too. I don't know why he's ignoring you." He grabbed a few cups of popcorn and I got 3 cokes. We paid and walked back. What I saw... Made my heart drop. Pony was leaning forward in his chair and Chery was too. They met in the middle, lips connected. They were kissing. Cherry was running her hands through his hair. I crushed one of the cokes in my hand. I ran over to them and dumped the other on Pony's head.

"Have your coke you filthy animal." I cried and sprinted out of the drive in. I heard faint yells behind me. I swung open the door to the Curtis house

"Y/n? What's wrong?" Soda and Darry asked from the couch. I shook my head as tears flowed freely. I ran to Pony and Sodas room and stuffed all my things into a duffel bag. I ran out of the room to see Pony by the door

"Listen y/n please please listen!" Pony was crying now. He grabbed my arm but I pulled away from him.

"Don't fucking touch me you disgusting,lying, cheating bastard!" I pushed him and ran out the door. I didn't know where I was going, but I found myself at the lot. It didn't surprise me when I found Johnny sleeping, covered in newspapers. I must have awoken him

"Y/n? Y/n what's wrong?" Johnny asked grabbing my shoulders, observing me.

"P-pony h-he" I was hyperventilating. I couldn't breathe.

"Shh. Its okay. Take deep breathes." Johnny pulled me into a hug, allowing me to cry on his jean jacket. after ten minutes I finally regained my breath and I stopped crying

"P-Pony... H-he k-kissed Cherry at t-the drive ins and t-they were a-about to m-make out." I began to cry again

"How did you know they were about to make out?" He asked quietly

"Because that's the way he kisses me when were making out." I was bawling into Johnny's shoulder again."I don't know where to go. My mother kicked me out and I definitely can't g-go b-back there. I-Im scared."

"You can live with me." A voice interrupted. I looked up and saw it was Two-Bit Matthews. I thanked Johnny and followed Two-Bit to his house and to a guest bedroom. I thanked him and went straight to the bed. I passed out.

Time skip to a few days later

one morning Two-Bit and his mother was out of the house, so I decided to make some breakfast. Well, cereal. It was nice here. I cleaned the whole house and Two-Bits mother was very nice and welcoming. I was making coffee when I heard the front door open. I heard footsteps and I froze. They weren't Two-Bits footsteps, his was heavy, and these were light. It definitely wasn't his mothers. She wore heels and you would hear the little clicks. I put my back to the door and silently continued my coffee making.

"Hey." My heart dropped. No. That couldn't be...

"What are you doing here." I responded coldy, gripping my coffee mug

"I wanted to talk."

"About what. There's nothing to talk about. I saw what I saw."

"I didn't mean to kiss Cherry that way. It was a friendship kiss." That made me burst out with laughter

"A friendship kiss?!?!" I threw my head back laughing. "Darry was right. You're stupid. You never use your head. And I thought there was something special about you. But now I realize. You're weak. I was always the one who defended you, got beat up for you. I mean, your best talent is crying and looking pretty. I will admit, you're cute. What am I saying? You're damn hot and damn sexy. But looks are all you got. Yeah, you'll love. Once you're alone with a girl, you'll be all over her and she'll be all over you. I know! You can't be trusted!" I was crying, but I kept smiling and being sarcastic .

"Y/n.. P-please i-i l-love y-you." He was crying too, it broke my heart. I smashed my mug on the counter, coffee everywhere. My hand was bleeding, but I brushed it off.

"Damn it Ponyboy! I loved you, trusted you. You hurt me, broke me, destroyed me. I thought you felt the same. You were the best thing that ever happened to me. Oh and I wish! I wish that I was my old self;All mushy and forgiving. But this is the 2nd time. The 2nd time. You've broke me several times. Yet I was so pathetic to run back to you!" I laughed and got a knife from the drawer. "I mean. Was this your plan? To pretend to love me but have a secret relationship with a stuck up soc?" I waved the knife "I beat people up who hurt you. I would do anything to keep you safe. And you? Well. You'd pretend to be into me. I turn around and you're eating someone's face." I was balling now. I sat on the table.

"Y/n. Please I love you and I'm sorry. Just put the knife down!" Pony cried out

"Oh no. If only I was the sweet y/n. I would be running into your arms. But of course," I giggled "I've changed. I deserve an upgrade in men anyway."

"Please!" He exclaimed

"I loved you! I wanted to be in your arms! Forever! I gave you my heart and you shattered it!" I threw the knife into my thigh, allowing the red, thick liquid pour out. I stabbed my thigh over again.

"Y/n! STOP PLEASE STOP!" Pony screamed. Two-Bit busted through the door. He pushed Pony out of the war and grabbed the knife from me, yanking it out of my grasp. Then everything went black.
