I woke up to the sound of the beeping of the heart monitor. I saw nurses and doctors swarmed around me, each and everyone of them letting out a sigh of relief once they saw my eyes were open.
"Miss l/n... I'm afraid you cannot have any visitors for two days. Its too dangerous. You need time to yourself to recover." Dr. Pike said, eyeing me then jotting down words on his clipboard.
"No visitors?!?! Why?!?! They didn't do anything!!" I shot up and tried to get up but the nurses pulled me back down
"They're the ones who caused you to pass out. You'll be free in four days. You'll be in a wheelchair since you won't be able to handle crutches" he dully said. I groaned.

Today was the day I finally got out. These past days were absolute hell. I entertained myself by counting my heartbeats and playing with a deck of cards with an elder nurse. I ate hospital food which was plain torture. Today was the day I finally escaped this dungeon that held me captive. They put me in a loose blue dress with socks. Then they transfered me to my black wheelchair. They wheeled me out to Darry and Two-Bit that was waiting in the wait room. Two-Bit instantly fell laughing.
"Well well. The toughest greaser girl in the entire neighborhood is in a wheelchair." Darry chuckled, crossing his arms.
"Oh you shut it Curtis #1. You're not the one who got hit by a car." I stuck my tongue at him.
"Cause I use my head. Unlike you, kid-sister." He pat my head, then walked behind me and wheeled me out to the car. When we got to the Curtis' house, I instantly smiled. This brought back so many good times, yet so many heartbreaking ones.
"I have an announcement to make" Darry put his hands in his back pockets.
"Yeah? What's it about?" I put down my book and looked up.
"Y/n, you're movin' in with us. I have somethin' to show ya. Two-Bit, mind wheeling her over here?" Two-Bit nodded and pushed me to the forbidden room. Darry opened the door and my mouth dropped. Inside there was a queen bed with f/c sheets, then it was painted (your second fav color) with a dresser and a small TV. There was a nightstand with a clock on it along with pictures from the gang. The closet was full of all your clothes.
"Oh Darrel. This... This is so amazing. I couldn't thank you enough." I threw my arms up and he hugged me. "And thank you Two-Bit for allowing me to stay at your place."
"No problem. Anything for family." He smiled. I heard the door open. Soda, Steve, and Pony walked in. Darry wheeled me out to them.
"Whaddya know. Y/n? In a wheelchair? Wooweee." Steve howeled.
"I know. For as tough as she is, she's in a wheelchair!" Soda smiled softly and gave me a gentle hug. Pony just looked at the floor.
"This really sucks. I'm restricted from everything." I pouted. I hate being in a wheelchair. I wanted out. It was Ponys fault. It really was. I just didn't want to blame him.
"Not from love!" Soda exclaimed and everyone groaned, including me.
"You're so cheesy, Sodafizz!" I laughed. For dinner Darry made burgers. Normally I would be devouring it like everyone else but I just didn't feel right. I stared at it like it was a plate full of air; a dull expression. Anger was bubbling inside of me. The words: pony's fault, pony's fault. Were echoing through my mind. I smacked myself a few times. I didn't wanna think like that. I got changed into a my moms white nightgown. The one she gave me before my father died. That's when she actually loved me. School was starting in a month, and I was dreading it. I would still be in this stupid wheelchair. I hoisted myself into bed and turned off the lamp, falling into a peaceful, dreamless slumber.
