Chapter 19

Time passed and I went home around 3 p.m. Pony and I planned to go to the diner with the gang at 6, so I had time to get ready. I took a shower and sat on the bed with a towel around me. What was I gonna wear? What would you wear to a diner? I pondered as time ticked by. Now it was 5! Shit! I browsed my closet and picked out a casual dress. It was black with short sleeved and stopped mid thigh. I curled my hair and applied some black eye shadow along with a cateye and mascara. Instead of red lipstick, I put on a pink lip gloss. I pulled back some of my hair and secured it with a clip, then i slipped on some black flats. I looked okay, not fancy, but okay. I heard a knock at the door. I opened up and saw Ponyboy with a nice flannel on and jeans with his ordinary white converse. He had his hair greased back. The gang was goofing off in the back in their ordinary outfits.

"You look amazing." Pony looked at me with wide eyes.

"Really? I had bought this a long time ago, just never found the occasion." I shrugged and wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him. He smelled... good. Not his ordinary smoke smell, which I didn't mind. "You smell different."

"Is that good or bad?"

"I enjoyed every smell you had, but this is different. A good different."

"Well, I haven't smoked at all today and I have freshly washed clothes and hair."

"Yay! You're getting better at no smoking, Ponybabe." I cupped his cheeks and kissed him. I heard howling and pulled away, flipping the gang off.

"Shall we go?" Pony asked, lacing our fingers together.

"We shall." I smiled as we skipped happily to the diner.

Whoops. Short chapter. I'm just really tired and its late. I'll promise to update with longer chapters!
