**Some have questioned me on the story so I will give a little more context for some understanding. The actual story/plot is set in their Senior year AFTER the bet has taken place. There are flashbacks throughout the story to give you an understanding of what happened and what were the effects of those events so this chapter starts with a flashback**

Kat was roaming around the halls in search for Oliver and Shelby. She had seen them around so they weren't absent but it felt like they were certainly avoiding her. IT was lunchtime and they weren't in the cafeteria; so she went out on a hunt for them. Her sweatshirt overwhelmed her with heat and so she went by her locker to put it away. As she turned the dial to put in her combination, a familiar face approached her. He wore a black t shirt that hugged his body. It accented his six pack and other very attractive muscles. His dark hair was most clean cut except for this one strand that hung over his chocolate brown eyes. Leaning against her neighboring locker, he elevated her in silence.

Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted him and frowned in disgust before looking at him "Can I help you?"

"Hi, I'm Damien," He responed.

"I know who you are," She responded smugly, "So again I ask, can I help you?"

"Yeah," He nodded with a smirk, "I'm looking for a math tutor. Are you willing to help me?"

Kathryn snorted and responded sarcastically, " Sure! As soon as I get my own tutor." After stuffing her locker with her sweatshirt, she slammed her locker and walked away leaving a distraught Damien leaning on the lockers by himself. She traveled down the hall to find Oliver and Shelby sitting on the floor eating their lunch.

"Hey," Kat shouted at them and the look on their face was filled with shame, "What the hell?"

As she approached them, Oliver stood up and spoke when Kat was in earshot, "And that's my que. Good luck, Sis." Oliver looked at her and frowned before turning away and leaving them.

"What is going on," She shouted, "Are you guys avoiding me? What did I say?"

Shelby sighed, "You better sit down." Kat, still unsure, obeyed her and dropped to her shin. "Look, do you know Ashlynn Burkwoski?"

"Yes."

"Well, I have her in my sixth period and she's Ashton's little step sister. Go figure," She began to ramble on for a few moments trying to stall.

"Shelby," Kat interrupted, "Get to the point."

Letting out a defeated breath, she carries on, "Well she told me that Ashton had some friends over. You know the gamblers and well..." She paused. "It sounds like theres a new bet around."

"A bet," Kat laughed, "Why are you avoiding me because of that? They have a bet like once a week at least!"

"Damien bet on whether he could bed you or not," She spat out loudly and quickly so that everyone in the hall way could hear. Kat's breathing just stopped all of a sudden as her cheeks grew red from embarrasement. Heads turned at them and she could feel her chest tightening. "The prize is still unheard of, but Damien is after you."

The words angered her and humiliated her at the same time. People standing in the hallway already knew and pretty soon after that everyone was going to know. Redview High didn't have much people so everybody knew everything about everybody. By the end of the day, everyone knew. She tried her best to avoid any contact with anyone associated with that group but at the end of the day Damien, himself, approached her again.

"Kathryn," He cooed before she could reach Oliver's car, "I was wondering whether you'd like to-"

"Donate to your "Jump into Damien's Bed" fund," Kat shot back in disgust, "Not interested."
