One leg stepped out of the car covered in red – colored jeans drawing attention away from the silver sport car that Kathryn was driving.  Luckily, her father’s company car was in the shop and they lent him a sports car. Well, he didn’t go to work that day so Kat gladly took it. When she stood up and out of the car, people were shocked to see her more covered up then how she’s usually been dressed this past year. She wore red jeans to cover her nice legs and a baby blue sleeveless shirt with red birds flying around.  The girl ignored the random looks that she attracted in the parking lot and spotted Shelby and Oliver walking towards the campus.

She was going to catch up with them but out of the corner of her eye she saw a struggling Ana trying to carry a model scale of the school.  “Do you need help,” Kat asked her ignoring the voice in her head to follow the twins.

“Yes, please,” She begged, “Can you help me with my art project? I need to take it to room ten.”

Kathryn laughed at her urgency and took it from her hands,  “Looks like you worked hard on it.”

“Like two hours every day for the past two weeks hard,” She responded exhausted and slammed the car door and throwing her backpack over her shoulder. “Thank you so much for helping.” They both started walking towards the campus.

                “It’s no problem.”

“You look cute by the way,” She started the conversation and Kat didn’t have to reply because she quickly added a question that caught her off guard, “Do you really like Dylan?”

“Um,” She furrowed her eyebrows, “Excuse me?”

“I’m sorry, did that sound rude,” She pouted and became angry with herself, “I didn’t mean to sound like an overbearing sister or stalker ex-girlfriend. I’m just not sure if you really like Dylan and if you don’t that’s okay. I mean you’re really sweet and all; I like you a lot and you’re really cool so I hope this isn’t going to be weird between us-“

“Ana, breathe,” She interrupted her rambling, “It’s cool; What do you mean by that question?”

“I don’t like him, if that’s what you’re thinking,” She immediately stopped that train of thought, “I love Ashton!  It’s just I really like you and I don’t want you to get hurt. I heard about the whole thing with Damien and that’s just awful and I scolded Ashton for being a part of that.”

“What does that have to do with Dylan?”

“I talked to Ashton yesterday after you left,” She frowned, “He seems to think that Dylan is not a good guy for you.”

“What,” She responded in shock. Kathryn really liked Ashton now and she didn’t want her relationship with Dylan to mess that up but she didn’t want to break up with Dylan.

“I don’t know,” She shook her head, “He just wants me to tell you to be careful. He’s not telling you what to do; he just hated that he didn’t do anything about it last year.”

“Oh,” She paused, “Well thank you for letting me know, I guess.”

“Oh, dang it,” She beat herself up, “I made things awkward, didn’t I? I’m so bad at that. Let me change the subject, what church do you go to?”
