"What do you mean she's gone?" Steve asked angrily. All of the team have noticed how stressed he's been lately, I don't know what he's been doing but whatever it is, it can't be going very well.

"I got into the tower and a nurse ran to me and told me that the girl was gone." Thor explained and I looked over to Tony and Clint who both rolled their eyes.

"So this nurse didn't tell you anything else?" Clint asked and Thor shook his head.

Sighing I got up out of my chair and walked towards the door. The rest of team followed me as we walked down to the cell Chloe was being kept in. It wasn't actually a cell, just a hospital room which had supposedly been made secure and safe. In my opinion I think it can't have been that safe, if what Thor says is true and she has escaped then the room has not for filed its purpose.

We reached the cell and surely enough Chloe wasn't there, but from the state the cell was in, it looked like she'd been forced out instead of escaping herself. There was glass everywhere and small puddles of blood lay next to it.

"Jesus fucking Christ." I exclaimed and Steve looked over at me but surprisingly didn't say a word.

"Guys look." Nat said holding up a piece of paper she'd found on the bed. I took it from her bed and read it out to everyone.

"Give us back the miracle experiment so they can for fill their destiny and we'll give you back the girl we've taken. You have until midnight." I said scrunching my eyebrows up in confusion.

"What the fuck?" Clint muttered and Steve glared at him and opened his mouth to speak.

"Language, I know!" He said before Steve could tell him off.

"Who does Hydra want?" Bruce asked slowly and Thor turned to him.

"How do we know it's Hydra?" He boomed and I rolled my eyes.

"Who else do we know who has experimented on people we know?" I asked and no one answered because they knew I was right.

"So it's one of you three they want." Nat said and I nodded my head.

"Who was the miracle experiment?" Tony asked and Pietro and Wanda both looked at me.

"Strucker said something about Kenzie being a miracle because the stuff they injected her with should have shut her body down." Pietro explained and I sighed loudly.

"Is their anything else on the note?" Wanda asked putting an arm around me gently.

"Oh yeah!" Bruce said taking the note from me and turning it over.
"Bring the experiment to abandoned warehouse ten minutes from the tower by midnight or we kill the girl."

"Shit!" I swore taking the note back from Bruce.

"What are we going to do?" Clint asked slowly and everyone glanced over to me.

"I'm going to get her." I stated as everyone across the room shook their heads.

"No you will not." Steve said slowly.
"We'll find a way to save Chloe but you can't go."

"But we can't just let her die, especially if Hydra have been manipulating her all this time." I shouted angrily.

"Look Kenz, we know you want to help but Hydra getting you won't do anyone any favours." Bruce said softly looking at me sympathetically.

"You can't stop me leaving." I replied heading for the door, but two pairs of arms stopped me. Pietro and Tony grabbed my arms and dragged me back to Steve.

"What are you going to do, lock me up?" I asked sarcastically but Steve just looked down to the floor.

"Take her to her room and tell Jarvis that the door shouldn't be opened unless one of us says so." He ordered and beside me Pietro and Tony nodded their heads.

"What the fuck, you bastards! Get off of me!" I shouted as they dragged me to my room. We reached my room and we sat down on my bed.

"Look Kenz, we're sorry but we don't want you getting yourself killed." Pietro said trying to reason with me but I just shook my head. Sighing they got up and headed to the door, Tony kissed me on the forehead before they locked the door leaving me alone.

I screamed in anger and ran to the door, however hard I tried it wouldn't open and Jarvis was no help. Scanning the area around me I looked for escape routes when my eyes fell upon the window. I ran towards it and groaned when I saw the lock. After attempting to open it a few times using my powers, I decided I'd have to smash it. In my wardrobe I had a pair of ridiculously high heels that Nat gave me, the heel on those would easily break the glass. Surely enough the heels broke the glass and I smirked in victory before grabbing a top and some jeans to put on over my gym clothes.

I took one last look around the room before leaning over the window pane to look out into the night. With a deep breath I jumped over the edge, letting my wings out before flying off into the sky.
