Rescue mission

~Tony's POV~

"Fuck!" I swore looking around at Kenzie's now empty room. The window was smashed and glass lay everywhere. She'd obviously escaped and we were stupid to think she wouldn't. A high heel shoe was lying by the window in the pile of glass, a piece of glass sticking out of the bottom of it.

All I know is Steve's going to do pissed. Obviously he won't say it because of his strange hatred towards swearing but he will be. Taking one last look at the room, I sighed before leaving and heading back to the rest of the team who were in the lab trying to come up with a plan of action. However considering the fact that Kenz decided to take her own action I guess our plan will have to change.

I reached the lab and it was exactly the same as I left it before. Nat, Bruce, Thor and Steve sat on one side of the table, the twins sat across from them and Clint sat alone ignoring all of them.

"Guys. We have a problem." I stated getting everyone's attention.

"What's wrong?" Bruce asked slowly glancing around the room.

"Kenzie's gone." I replied and everyone looked up at me in shock.

"Deja vu." Clint muttered smirking slightly.

"Gone?" Steve asked trying to keep calm and not shout at me.

"She's escaped." I explained.
"Smashed the window with a heeled show and left."

"I knew I shouldn't have given her that pair of shoes." Nat groaned.

"So she's gone to help Lady Black?" Thor boomed loudly.

"Yes! Where else would she have gone?" I asked sarcastically but judging by the look on Thor's face, he doesn't understand sarcasm.

"She never listens!" Pietro complained and Wanda rolled her eyes and slapped him on the head whilst muttering something in Russian.

Everyone was silent for a few minutes before Bruce finally said something.

"So we're going to get her right?"

~ Kenzie's POV~

I reached the warehouse at five minutes to twelve. I know that I shouldn't have come alone. None of the team wanted me to come at all but I can't let her get hurt because of me.

"You came. Good choice." A voice which I instantly recognised as one of the Hydra guards said. I never actually learnt his name but I guess he must be quite important if he's been trusted with Chloe.

"Yes I came, now let her go." I ordered and the guard laughed.

"Actually I have other plans." He said and before I could do anything my arms were forced behind my back and a gun was brought to my head.

"You see darling, Hydra needs you and if we have to brainwash you to get you to join us we will." He stayed smirking and running a cold hand down my side.

"It will never work." I shouted loudly trying to break free.

"Oh we'll see about that!" He sneered walking closer to me.
"Lights out sweetheart."

~Pietro's POV~

"Right we are not going to run in fighting, we are going to walk in and try not to make a big commotion." Steve explained and I rolled my eyes. By now Hydra have probably got Kenzie and Chloe, what good will walking in without a fight do.

"Well that's a shitty plan." Stark exclaimed and from the tone of his voice I could tell he thinks the same as me.

"Do you have a better one?" Steve replied and no one said anything back to him.

"Okay then, keep your weapons close and Pietro, Wanda and Bruce watch in the shadows and we'll signal if we need your help." Steve ordered. The three of them nodded and the rest of us walked through the entrance to the warehouse.
Inside there was seven Hydra men all carrying guns and various other weapons. Chloe was being held in one corner of the room and she looked petrified. I don't know what Hydra had done to her but she did not look well at all. My eyes darted around the room and I spotted Kenzie. Her hands were tied behind her back and a guard had an arm around her waist. If she wouldn't have been in that much danger I would have ran to help her straight away but a gun was pointed against her head.

"Ah the Avengers. Come to get Chloe?" One of the men asked and Steve stepped forward slowly.

"Look we don't want any trouble." Steve started before he was cut off by one of the Hydra men.

"Take the crazy girl and leave!" He ordered but Steve shook his head calmly.

"We want our teammate back!" Steve replied and the man who had Kenzie pulled her even closer to him. I hissed under my breath as I looked over at them. Kenzie's eyes glanced over to me and she mouthed the word no to me.

"She came to us, so she's walked into whatever we do to her." He stated casually and I glared at him and jumped forward.

"If you touch a single hair on her head!" I shouted angrily as the Hydra thugs smirked.

"So you're the lover boy." The man holding Kenzie said as he rested his head on top of her and trailed the gun across her face slowly.

"How would you feel if we hurt her right in front of you?" He asked and I hissed taking a step forward.

"Come any closer and I'll shoot your pretty girls brains out." He threatened placing the gun back against Kenzie's forehead.

"Look no one needs to shoot anyone." Thor boomed and the man rolled his eyes.

"But shooting people is so much more fun!" The insane high pitched giggle of a now awake Chloe Black. She stood beside two unconscious or dead guards with two guns in her hands. Smirking she walked forward as everyone watched her in confusion she glanced up before shooting up into the air. The lights went off and the warehouse was plunged into darkness. In the confusion, I managed to stumble over to Kenzie who had escaped the guard who was holding her. Grabbing her hand I dragged her towards the rest of the team and the exit. We reached the exit just as the lights turned back on and a scream came from behind us. All of the Hydra guards had Chloe captured and their was a needle to her neck.

"If any of you leave, I won't hesitate to use this." One of the men said pointing to the needle.

"What is it?" Pietro asked slowly glancing over at me and then Wanda.

"One shot of this and she'll be relieving her worst memory and the pain in the memory times 1000!" The guard sneered smirking. Kenzie tried to run forward but Pietro ran and grabbed her before she could.

"Get off of me!" She shouted kicking Pietro in the shins and running forward. A gun was immediately placed at her head and my blood went cold. The needle that was placed against Chloe's neck sunk into her skin and she let out a agonising scream before falling to the ground. Shaking on the floor we watched as she screamed before lying completely still. We all looked in shock as she lay there, some of the Hydra guards smirked and Kenzie kicked the guard who was holding her and made a pounce towards Chloe. The guard noticed for just a moment, unfortunately that was just enough time for him to shoot Kenzie twice in the arm. Running towards her, I kicked the Hydra guy with the gun and grabbed his weapon from him. The other guards tried to make a run for the door but police guards Steve must have called stopped and arrested them before they could escape. I glanced over to Kenzie who was staring at Chloe's body whilst blood poured out of her arm.

"Kenz we need to get you help, your arm is badly bleeding!" I said trying to get her to move from Chloe.

"I'm sorry." She said and before I could stop her she plunged a needle identical to the one that was used on Chloe into her neck.

"No! No!" I shouted grabbing her as she fell to the floor and let one last  scream out before passing out on the floor.
