You're My Mate?

Alex's POV

"Alex wake up!" My little sister yelled in my ear and shook me. "I'm up." I growled "Tracy you don't have to yell." Today was the first day of school and I'm starting the ninth grade. I'm a little nervous but, I'm also excited. I get to see my best friend and I might find my mate. I got out of bed and told my sister to leave so I could get dressed. I don't really dress up for school, well I don't at all actually, I put on a pink shirt, a pair of jeans and my black converse. I ran down stairs and went into the kitchen were my mom was making breakfast. My little sister was sitting at the table, she was wearing a pink summer dress and sparkly flats. "Mom is breakfast done yet?" I asked. "Yes Alex it's ready." She replied. After we ate, we walked outside to the bus.

The bus ride to school was boring like it always is. We stopped at the elementary and my sister got off along with the rest of the elementary schoolers. Then we headed to the high school.

When I got of the bus, I walked into the building since everyone else was there and sat down on the floor and waited for Seara. About five minutes later she texted me and said she was here so I told her I was in the lobby. She walked in and we started talking about our summer break. Then, the bell rang and since we didn't have any classes together except art, (we may be werewolves but we still have a couple human classes) she went the opposite way. I have a first-aid class 1st hour, Computers 2nd hour (one of my human classes) tracking 3rd, hunting/stealth 4th, lunch, a Luna and Alpha class 5th, fighting 6th and art 7th (another human class). The first two classes went by fast because all we did was talk and get to know the teacher. Now it was third hour I walked down the hallway to the classroom. I sat down and listened to other people talking, I knew everybody in the class but I didn't really feel like talking. Everybody seemed really happy even though we had just lost our Alpha, he had lost his Luna about a week ago and yesterday the beta went to his office looking for him and he was dead. We think he had killed himself because he had lost her. But nobody seemed to care. There was supposed to be a new Alpha coming today and I think it is our old Alphas brother but I don't know for sure.

The teacher walked in to class and told us to quiet down. After he introduced himself he told us to get a book (why we needed a book for tracking I really didn't no). After all of us got a book and sat down he took role and told us to turn to page one and read to ourselves. After about five minutes of reading there was a knock at the door. When the teacher opened it there was an unfamiliar and a familiar sent. I recognized the familiar scent as the counselor and the unfamiliar one must have been a student. I could also sense the power coming from the student so I knew he was a high rank. I turned around and the only word I could say was "Mate!"

I sat there and looked at my mate waiting for him to look at me and when he did he growled and said "Mate," I blushed. After the counselor left the teacher told him to go find somewhere to sit and of course he came and sat behind me. When the guy next to me asked what page we were on I answered him and he just looked at me for a second which caused my mate to growl. So he said thanks and turned around. After he turned around there was a tap on my arm and I felt sparks. I turned around to look and he had somewhat long brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes, I practically got lost in them, when I realized I was starring. The bell rang, the class had gone by real fast, I got up to put my book back on the shelf and when I turned around he was gone.

I walked out the door and down the hall to my next class looking for my mate again. I didn't see him, so I went to class and hoped he was had the same class (he didn't). All we did in that class was listen to the teacher talk and after that she gave us an All About Me paper (Why she gave us that I have no idea. For goodness sakes we are in high school.). After I finished I turned around and talked to the girl behind me her name was Macy. After everyone finished, the teacher let us continue talking as long as we didn't yell. We got to talk for about ten minutes and then the bell rang. I walked with Macy, it turned out that she was friends with a girl that rides my bus that I talk to all the time but only on the bus. "Have you found your mate yet Alex" Makala asked "Yes but I haven't talked to him because the bell rang and when I went to look for him I couldn't find him." I replied "oh that sucks." Macy said "yeah."

We walked to the cafeteria and waited in line, we were having turkey sandwiches because it was the first day of school. After we got our trays and sat down I saw my mate leaving the cafeteria.
