Marinette couldn't believe what she was seeing. She'd met Chat Noir before in her civilian form but she'd hardly expect him to show up on her terrace in the middle of the night.

"Chat Noir, what the hell are you doing!?" Marinette said.

He scratched the back of his neck and gave a sheepish grin.

"Well I was just on patrol and I couldn't help notice that you were up her looking sad so I figured that Id come cheer you up!"

Chat Noir wasn't lying. Him being Adrien and being in Marinettes class, he noticed how upset she looked lately. If he said he was concerned for her, that would be an understatement. He knew that she wouldn't be able to talk about it with Adrien, but he knew for a fact that she was comfortable with Chat Noir, her sarcastic remarks when she first met him was proof of that enough. He came and sat next to her and she raised an eyebrow at him.

"This doesn't seem like you Chat." She said.

Which was true. Chat Noir wasn't one to invade pretty girls terraces in the middle of the night but, he just wanted to know what was on her mind.

" Well dear princess, as it so happens, I'm an excellent listener and great at giving advice. And it looks like you need to talk with someone so feel free to talk to me!" He said while grinning.

She met his sparkling gaze. Marinette trusted Chat Noir on the battle field, and as Ladybug she'd never open up to him like this. But she was purely Marinette tonight. And Marinette wanted to talk to him.

"Are you sure Chat?"

"I'm positive."

She smiled slightly and turned her haze to the stars.

"Why do people describe the universe as the "heavens"?"

Chat wasn't sure how to respond. He looked at her and saw millions of stars glitter in her eyes. Adrien was star struck as the heavens reflected in her heavenly eyes.

"I hate it." She whispered.

"Why?" He breathed.

"Because, when they say heavens they are treating it like its something greater. Sometimes, a mask doesn't define the person underneath."

Adrien was taken aback. She looked at him and saw his eyes clouded with worry.

"Whatever mask you wear princess, to me, your always no match for the heavens." He said.

Marinette blushed slightly. She knew Chat Noir was a flirt but this felt sincere.

"Thank you Chat. But I feel as if I'm below Heaven. I feel useless." She said.

Chat hesitated before looping an arm around her. She sucked in a breath at the cold touch of the leather he wore. She looked at him. Her heart fluttered and she had a sense of peace.

"You embrace your mask. Why?" She asked.

"Because when I wear it, I'm who I truly am."

He leaned closer to her. Marinettes mind screamed. Her heart belonged with Adrien but right now she felt vulnerable and here she was with a hot boy wearing leather. She bit her lip and his eyes flickered to her mouth.

"I have to go now princess. But please, don't think that you are nothing, you are everything. You aren't below Heaven, you're right there with it." He smiled.

He stood and left Marinette alone and wondering what could've happened if he had took advantage of her vulnerable state. Adrien wondered that too. The way she looked at him made him want to kiss her and hold her. It scared him, he thought that his heart beat solely for his lady but, Marinette looked stellar tonight. It scared him. He hardly talked to her yet he felt a sense of familiarity and comfort with her tonight. These thoughts raced though his mind after he de-transformed and collapsed on his bed.

"You don't look good." Said Alya.

Due to Marinettes late night chat with Chat Noir, she was very tired. She groaned and put her head down on her desk. That morning when she woke up she could've sworn it was a dream, but she knew that it was just wishful thinking. Marinette had no idea what happened in class that day. And when it was time for lunch, Alya had to drag her to the benches.

"Marinette, you need to go home and sleep!" Alya said.

They sat in the school yard on a plastic bench and Marinette was struggling to keep upright. She muttered something and yawned. Alya was getting out her lunch when Marinette passed out from exhaustion. There was a huge smack as Marinette fell to the concrete.

"MARINETTE!" Yelled Alya.

People came rushing over to see what all the commotion was about.

"Alya what happened?" Asked Adrien.

"She collapsed!" Alya said. She was on the verge of tears. Alya was freaking out.

"Calm down. I'll carry her to the nurses office." Said Adrien.

People backed away as Adrien scooped her up. Alya glared at Chloé who was saying something rude about Marinette and the current situation she was in. Chloé was being a bitch about the whole thing. Marinette didn't want to collapse but it seemed she didn't understand that. Alya and Nino followed Adrien and he carried Marinette and placed her on a cot in the nurses office.

"Where's the nurse?" Asked Nino.

Adrien shrugged. Alya took a seat beside the bed and brushed Marinettes hair out of her face.

"She'll be fine here Alya." Said Adrien.

"I'm not leaving her!" She proclaimed.

"Ok then Adrien and I will stay too!" Said Nino.

Alya was surprised by this but Adrien was not. He knew that Nino had a slight crush on Alya and just didn't want to leave her to worry by herself. Adrien was concerned about Marinette and agreed to stay in order to see to it that she was fine. Not only was he concerned about the collapse but also about the things she said to Chat Noir last night. He took a seat at the door of the bed and looked at her. He heard Alya giggle slightly at him.

"So Adrien, you admiring the bed sheets or just the person laying on them?" Teased Alya.

Adrien blushed and scratched the back of his head. He didn't like Marinette, his heart belonged to Ladybug. But that didn't mean he would deny how cute her sleeping face was.
