The next day was Adriens last chance to hang out with people until he had a bunch of modelling. So of course, he wanted to spend it with none other than his lady, his princess, Marinette. The two agreed to meet at her bakery, outside of it though so they avoided her parents. Adrien waited patiently in the shadow of the building and jumped a little when Marinette running out of the shop. She grabbed Adrien by the arm and hauled him away from the bakery. Adrien could hear laughter as they ran away. Once Marinette had stopped running, she took a look around before turning to him.
"Sorry, my parents found out I had a date and I had to get you out of there before they questioned you hardcore!" She said.
Adrien laughed. He'd met Marinettes parents before and they were great, although he guessed it would be different if he was seeing them as Marinettes date, not as her friend. Adrien smiled at Marinette, today she wore a blue pleated skirt and a black and white flannel open over a tight fitting pink tank top. Her hair was in pigtails and she had her purse strung across her body. She was also wearing the necklace he got her last night.
"You look cute today," Adrien said before intertwining his hand with hers.
She giggled and thanked him for his compliment and the two started walking hand in hand. The conversation started off slow, then went into a easy flowing conversation between the two. As the two walked around Paris and talked, they hardly noticed the clouds roll in over head. When the first crackle of thunder came and the rai started pouring, Adrien and Marinette were completely unprepared for it. The two teens laughed as they stood there getting soaked, their laughter was interrupted for a moment when the heard Plagg give muffled complaint from the inner pocket of Adriens shirt. Marinette giggled and Adrien grabbed her hands.
"I love it when you're wet," he said with a flirtatious wink.
"This is the first time you've ever seen me wet kitty," she said.
Adrien was taken a back for a moment, then he snapped right back into Chat Noir mode.
"This is the first time I've seen you wet from the rain, cause I certainly have seen you wet, from other things,"
Marinette laughed. What he had said hardly made sense but she understood the dirty meaning.
"God that was worse than your cat puns," she said.
"My car puns are paw-sitivly purr-fect," he said.
Marinette punched him lightly on the shoulder and he wrapped both arms around her waist and pulled her close to him. The heavens shine bright in her eyes, the rain seemed to bring them out more. The glimmer of the water highlighted her skin and made her midnight hair look like onyx. He kissed her softly, an innocent kiss and it became nothing more than that.
"You are beautiful," he said.
"You are astonishing," she said.
The two laughed once more before deciding that they had spent enough time in the rain and that they needed some time out of it. They quickly ran into the nearest café and ordered some coffees and took a seat at the table tucked away in the far corner.
"There hasn't been an akuma in a while," Marinette spoke softly.
"Let's not think about that right now, as much as I miss seeing you in that skin tight suit, it's a good thing the city is safe,"
Marinette smiled at him. As much as it bothered her that Hawkmoth hadn't been doing much lately, she was glad to have a break from it all. She stared into his electrifying green eyes and leaned forward to brush his damp hair out of his face. Before she could draw her hand away, he grabbed it and kissed the back of it lightly. She hummed at the soft touch of his lips and he then adjusted his hand so he could his her palm and then each of her finger tips. She sighed as she pulled away her hand away slowly, not too aggressively so that he didn't get the wrong idea. She took a sip of her coffee and looked at him over the edge of her cup and he did the same. Setting the coffee down, she looked at him once more.
"Thank you for a magical day," he said.
"When I'm with you, everything is magical," she said.
