Ladybug gazed at the city in front of her. She didn't have to patrol tonight, she just wanted to. Ladybug realized how much she missed being Ladybug, she missed the freedom of it. She stopped staring and ran across the rooftops. There wasn't any destination, she just ran and didn't look back.

Adrien was restless. He couldn't sleep. But he didn't want to wake Plagg either. So Adrien wasn't going to be Chat Noir tonight, instead Adrien decided to do something that he really shouldn't. Adrien wasn't supposed to leave his room after 9:30 and it was midnight now, but Adrien felt no desire to stay in his room. He slowly turned the doorknob and peeked out into the hallway. Adrien shut the door behind him and he padded through the halls. He walked towards the far side of his house, where the stairs to the highest floor of the mansion was. He wasn't allowed to ever step foot on those stairs, but Adrien felt curiosity start to bite and tug at him. He stood in front of the large mahogany door. His hand shook as he reached out to grip the cold handle. There wasn't a lock on the door, of course their wouldn't be, everyone knew to not open this door or they would face Gabriel's wrath. For once, Adrien didn't feel his fathers icy glare and the sting of his fist. For once, Adrien did something he wasn't supposed to. He turned the handle and went up the stairs, making sure to close the door behind him. The stairs we cold grey and went up in a spiral. There wasn't very many so it took no time for Adrien to make it to the top. There was a heavy steel door at the top, Adrien went to push it open but found it almost impossible. Adrien pushed with every last ounce of strength he had. The door scrapped oven and Adrien stumbled a bit once he stepped through the threshold. Adrien gasped at why he saw. A large round window covered in a metal covering and thousands of white butterflies.

Ladybug smiled gleefully and she swung herself to the very top of the Eiffel Tower. She cheered as she stood and looked over the city of Paris. The wind ripped at her hair which for once wasn't in their pigtails. She marvelled at the see of lights in front of her.

"This is beautiful," she breathed.

There was one thing missing though. She was missing Chat Noir. But even that couldn't erase this moment. She'd been on the Eiffel Tower before but never on the very top. Ladybug didn't think any view could compare to the one she was looking at. She turned her head to the sky above her and her smiled widened at the tons of twinkling stars . She mentally pointed out constellations and she was able to pick out where Venus was shining in the sky.

"Tikki had to see this," she said.

She undid her transformation and Tikki came and flew in front of her.

"Marinette! What are you doing!?" Said Tikki.

"Calm down Tikki. Look!" Marinette said.

Tikki gasped at the glittering lights of Paris. Tikki had been around for a long time, but never once had she seen something quite like this. Tikki rested on Marinettes shoulder as they looked at the city below them.

Adrien gasped at the butterflies. They reminded him of purified Akumas.... Adrien didn't move an inch. It took him a moment to gather his senses before mustering the last of his strength to close the door and run back to his room.

Adrien was amazed that he went unnoticed that night. He was sure that you could hear his panting ring through the halls as he ran. Adrien was stunned at what he had seen. What even was that? Did his father have some sort of weird obsession with butterflies? Cause if so, then Gabriel Agreste really needed a hobby, well a different hobby. Adrien laid in bed. There was no way he would sleep now. He doubted he'd ever sleep again knowing that there are thousands of butterflies sharing a house with him.
