Chapter 35: And You Won't

      Everything was falling into place. They knew who HawkMoth was, Adrien had finally regained some of his freedom, and Marinette was feeling completely and utterly happy. She laid back in her bed and sighed. For once her body didn't ache so she stretched out her limbs and let out a small sound of joy.

"You seem happy," said Tikki whilst landing on the pillow next to Marinettes head.

"It finally feels right Tikki. Everything feels great," said Marinette.

Tikki was happy to see Marinette smile. Often Marinette didn't smile like this unless she was with her friends, and it took a lot to get her to smile even then. Tikki had noticed that Marinette seemed happier since summer started, and she supposed she had a certain boy to thank for that. Curling up next to Marinettes head, Tikki settled in for the night.

Adrien felt dread going into modelling the next day. Although it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be, his mind was focused on Marinette and that seemed to calm him down and get him through the shoot. After it was done, Adrien relaxed on his couch while Plagg sat on Adriens bed eating cheese.

"You ok over there? You've been staring out that window for a while," said Plagg in between bites of cheese.

"I'm perfectly fine. I'm fine for once," he said.

Plagg hid his grin behind his cheese. Though Plagg didn't really show it, he was happy that Adrien was happy. It was good to see him smile, he only genuinely did that when he was Chat Noir, cause he only then seemed to feel like his real self. But it seemed that lately he was able to settle in with his civilian self while still showing signs of his alter ego. Of course, that was mostly with Marinette. Plagg didn't really get what love was, but he knew that that was what was making Adrien so happy. Plagg shook his head, these thoughts were too deep for him, the only deep thinking he ever wanted to do was about cheese.

Adrien was free that night. He was perfectly free and there was only one way he wanted to spend his freedom. On her. Chat Noir raced across buildings, going as fast as possible to reach her. Finally he landed on her balcony and knocked thrice on her trap door before waiting for her to open it. He was caught off guard when the trap door flung open and he was pulled in by her pale hand. Luckily he landed on his feet when he fell, Marinette wasn't so lucky. She stumbled a little and almost fell if it wasn't for Chat catching her by the waist.

"I think you just fell for me princess," he said with a wink.

"I'm your girlfriend you egg!"

He laughed and kissed her lightly. She stood up and backed away so he could release his transformation. Plagg have a small wave to Marinette before flying over to where Tikki sat on her sewing machine. Marinette and Adrien sat on her bed and sat cross legged facing each other. She kissed his softly on his cheek bone and he gave her hand a squeeze.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you," he breathed.

His breath tickled her nose.

"You better not have been picturing me naked," she said jokingly.

He leaned in close to her ear and growled.

"I don't need to think about that when I can see the real thing,"

Her lips parted slightly before pushing him softly on his chest. He laughed and leaned back.

"I really couldn't stop thinking about you. It wasn't anything dirty though, it would've been bad if I had gotten a boner during the photoshoot." He said.

She laughed and put her hands on his cheeks.

"Luckily for me girls don't get bikers so I can picture you naked all I want," she said.

She giggled at his blush. Of course she would never think of him like that, she would feel as if she was violating him, she only wanted to see his cute blushing face.

Adrien and Marinette talked for hours that night. And when Plagg forced Adrien to transform so they could leave, Marinette followed Chat onto the balcony. Chat stood on the railing looking down at her. He crouched down and looked in her eyes.

"I remember the first time I really looked at your eyes, they reminded me of the heavens, and now I see that you are the heavens," he said.

His words took her breath away. She stretched up onto her tippy toes to place a kiss on his hot lips.

"And yet somehow, heaven is still a place on earth with you," she said.

"I love you, I don't ever want to leave or lose you," he said.

His breath caressed her face gently, she placed her hands on his forearms and leaned as close as she could to his ears.
