Chapter 26: Chaotic

    Marinette knew today was gonna be suck the moment she woke up. As she was entering the school, out of all people, Chloé just had to be the one who was standing in the entrance. As Marinette was hurting past, she didn't notice Chloé stick out her foot. Marinette tripped over Chloés foot and fell to the ground. Chloé cackled at the fallen girl snapped photos of the disheveled girl trying to collect her things.

"You idiot Marinette! How anyone can stand your clumsiness is beyond me!" Said Chloé.

Chloé walked off and Marinette managed to get all her things. When she looked down at herself, she noticed a big hole ripped in her jeans from tripping. Marinette growled in frustration and walked to class. When she got into class, she took her seat and settled in. About halfway through the lesson, someone got up to use the washroom and as they passed her desk, they put a note on her desk. Marinette read it discreetly so she didn't get caught. It was from Chloé. It was beyond Marinettes comprehension how she managed to make another kid place the nasty note on her desk. Marinette ripped it up and went to go throw it out. As she returned to her desk, Chloé let out a cry of distress, which was obviously fake.

"How awful! Teacher please, send Marinette to the principal for her crime! " Chloé said dramatically.

"What crime?" Said the teacher.

Marinette was wondering the same thing.

"Just look at this note she left on my desk!" Said Chloé.

Chloé thrusted the note out to the teacher and the teacher grabbed it from Chloé. Her eyes scanned the paper and widened in rage.

"Marinette go to the principals office! And Chloé go with her and bring your evidence!" Yelled the teacher.

Chloé flashed a smug look at Marinette as they both gathered their things and walked to the principals office. As they walked, Marinette turned to Chloé.

"What the hell did you do!?" Marinette said through gritted teeth.

"Nothing you can prove." Said Chloé.

They walked into the principals office and the large man turned to them. He asked what had happened and Chloé told her tale of false woe. She showed the principal the note and the principal turned his rage on Marinette.she tried her bet to defend herself, but Chloés favouritism got Marinette suspended. As Marinette walked out of the school, she remembered the Lady Wifi incident and how Chloé had done a similar thing to Alya. Honestly, if Chloé was going to get people suspended then she should at least try to be more original. Marinette went to the park and collapsed onto a bench. She sighed, she didn't want to go home just yet and get yelled at so she laid on the neck and closed her eyes.

Hawkmoth watched as the young girl stifled tears. He smiled as his akuma flew off to do its work. As he watched the akuma fly into the girls earrings, he grinned as he greeted his newest akuma.

"Hello Lady Chaos,  I'm Hawkmoth, and I can grant you immense power and control. All I need is a favour from you."

"Id be happy to oblige Hawkmoth."

Adrien sighed and rested his head against the window. He'd just finished another photoshoot and was on his way to the next one. He lurched forward at the driver slammed on the breaks and got out of the car and ran. Adrien looked around in confusion and saw darkness coming from the park and spreading.

"Looks like an akuma!" Said Plagg as he emerged from Adriens pocket.

Adrien transformed and ran towards the park. Although the sky was black, it was still light out so he didn't need to rely on night vision. He ran towards what he thought was the centre. Chat Noir stopped dead in his tracks at what he saw. Her hair was still in their pigtails, her mask was black and shaped like a butterfly. She was wearing loose black pants and a tight fitting purple shirt with black polka dots. She almost seemed to be cloaked in darkness. Her eyes were also a different colour. They were a piercing violet.

"Marinette," Chat Noir breathed.

"Marinettes not here anymore. I'm Lady Chaos!" Said Lady Chaos.

She came at Chat with great speed and attempted to stab him with a knife that appeared from her hand out of nowhere. He just barely dodged it. As she came at him, her weapons kept switching until she settled on using a large onyx coloured scythe. He managed to knock her down for a second and as he did he noticed that all the people around looked distorted.

"Keep your eyes on me kitty." She said.

Her voice was dripping with venom as she lunged at him again. Using her scythe, she attempted to land a blow to his arm and was successful. He grunted in pain, as much as he wanted to retaliate further, it had made him upset enough to knock her down that one time. He couldn't imagine having to hurt his lady, his princess, any further. Whether she was akumatized or not, he didn't want to hurt her.  She came at him again and he tripped her. As she fell to the ground, Chat room the opportunity to pin her to the ground. She was helpless under his weight. He scanned quickly and saw that the akuma was most definitely in her earrings. He cautiously removed one hand from her shoulder and removed the earrings. As he went to grab them, she tried to squirm out of his grip.

"Stay still princess. I don't want to fight anymore." He said.

"Don't call me that. You are nothing to me, you never meant a thing to me."

He winced at her words. But he knew that they were lies. He removed the earrings and crushed them in his hands. He destroyed the akuma with his cataclysm, since he wasn't able to purify it. The darkness and distortion disappeared but any damage done to buildings couldn't be fixed. Marinette switched back to her old self. Chat Noir knelt next to where she sat on the ground.

"C-chat," she whispered.

He silenced her and hugged her. He held her tightly and never wanted to let go. He didn't ever want to lose her.
