Marinette wasn't too happy when on Monday morning she found that the bruise still wasn't gone. She sighed as she grabbed out a red turtle neck sweater. She slipped on some blue jeans and put her hair in their usual pigtails and grabbed her things and went to school. When she got there, she was greeted by Alya was waiting for her on the steps of the school.
"Hey Marinette, how was your weekend?" Alya said.
"It was good. How was yours?" Marinette asked.
"Amazing. But, you have to tell me what happened between you and Chat Noir!"
Marinette was a little confused. There was no way that Alya knew about what happened in her room that night.
"N-nothing." She said whilst blushing slightly.
"Oh you are totally lying! Did you guys kiss?"
"No..."
Alya could tell her friend was lying. She squealed in delight as the entered the school and went to their class. Alya went on and on about and Marinette ignored it. She knew it was bound to happen. She got some states from fellow classmates as she entered and she wasn't at all shocked to see Chloé glare at her. Chloé only had one true desire at that dance, to be the centre of attention which didn't happen due to Marinette and Chat Noir. Marinette sighed as she took her seat and Alya finally stopped her fangirl ranting.
"Hey Marinette!" Said Rose who had can up beside the girl.
"I saw you and Chat Noir on Friday and I was just curious on how that happened." Said Rose.
Marinette would've been annoyed by this question but Rose was just too kind.
"Oh we ran into each other and he asked if he could accompany me to the dance." She said. Of course it was a total lie.
"Oh that's so cool! You guys looked great together!" Said Rose.
Marinette smiled kindly at Rose who then dismissed herself back to her seat. Marinette rested her chin on the palm of her hand. She knew that today would be particularly interesting due to Friday but so far it had only been exhausting. At least they weren't talking about Ladybug.
Adrien found himself excited about school for once. Usually he hated it due to the fact he had to be "perfect little Adrien Agreste" but today that wouldn't bother him. He was excited about Marinette. He was as happy about seeing her as he was happy about seeing his lady, which of course he had his suspicions on the two girls being the same person. Usually, Ladybug was really the only one who could make him genuinely smile but lately, he found himself absolutely giddy about the thought of Marinette. He walked into class to see Alya and Nino chatting, which he wasn't surprised about, and then he saw the blue eyed beauty herself. She sat there drawing in her notebook and he smiled. He put down his things and went to go talk to her.
"Hey Marientte" he said.
She jumped a little which Adrien found to be cute. She turned to him and bit her lip slightly before fretting him.
"How are you?" He asked.
A casual question that really shouldn't make his heart pound so fiercely.
"I-I'm good. A-and you?"
Oh god that stutter. When she fumbled it made him want to hold her tight.
"I'm good as well. That's a lovely drawing." He said.
He gestured to the doodle of Chat Noir she had been doing before he came to talk to her. She blushed slightly. And then it came to his attention that she was wearing a sweater similar to the one she wore yesterday. His mark still hasn't faded and it made him happy.
