Attack from the Striker Queen

Glimmer POV

It's been a couple days after dinner with the King and Queen of the freezers, and they have attempted to ease tension between the two sides. The aquarians have pulled all of their troops out of the war and declared neutrality, so there has been progress. The king has narrowed the start of the war to be centered around the strikers, as that is around when the attacks started, and sides were taken. Now that we have a starting point, it is easier to find an ending point. The King has tried getting in contact with Queen stella, but every attempt has been rejected.  She clearly does not want to talk. 

Now that the King and Queen know I am in the palace, I can roam around and even leave the palace. Jack is taking me into a nearby town to see what life is really like at the elements. I borrowed one of Hannahs robes and up my hair in a bun with little snowflake crystals to blend in with the freezers. 

Jack and I stroll down a street, eating pastries. 

"So, what is life like on earth." He asks. 

"Um, pretty similar i guess. Instead of going to school to learn how to do, element things, we go to school and learn how to do different jobs." I tell him. I explain more about schools and jobs. 

"So what job did you have?" 

"I was in school. I didn't have a job, but I was looking into going into biology" I tell him. "Hey, can I ask you a question?" 

"Yea, whats up?" He asks, looking into my eyes.

"So, on earth, I don't have parents, or at least not that I know of. As a baby, I was left on someone's doorstep. I was then placed into foster care, and moved from home to home. Do you think my parent are here?" I ask. Jack thinks for a second. 

"I think it's possible. After this is all done, I will help you find your parents, I promise"  He says. 

"Thank you." I say. Jack takes my hand as we walk back to the palace, enjoying the scenery in silence.

"Can I contact my father, I think i can get him to help" Flamara argues with the King of the freezers. 

"If he knows you are here, he will send his whole fleet and destroy us. I can not risk that.'' The king tells her. 

"Flamara, you know the risks." Hannah says. 

"I do, but it has been almost two weeks of no progress. I don't know how much more trying we can do." Flamara explained. "We need to get my parents on our side before we can pull the freezers out of the war, because we know if we pull out now the natures will be destroyed" 

"What if we go to the King of the crystallizers with Khaleesi?" I ask.

"No, that's too risky." The King says. "I don't know what other options we have to keep both sides at ease.''

"I don't think we can." Jack says. "We need to do something about the Strikers, they started the war. They turned every element against each other, again."

"Whatever we do, the strikers won't care. They are too blinded by revenge. But if we transport them to another dimension like last time, it will just cause another war in the future." Hannah says. Everyone sits in silence, at a loss of ideas. It's been impossible to predict what will happen next, and even more impossible to know what the next right thing to do is. 

Suddenly a loud booming laugh echos through the dining room. 

"So, you want to stop all the fun" Someone says. I turn around and see a tall, young woman in a black dress with lightning on it. It's Queen Stella. Queen Stella walks further into the room, and Jane is behind her. Wait, is Jane, helping Stella?

"Well Jane, it looks like you were correct, they are all here." She says. 

"Jane, what did you do?" Hannah asks. 

"No Hannah, I think the better question is, what did YOU do?" Jane says angrily. "My sister was MURDERED at the festival, something you said would be safe. Something my parents said would be safe. But no, Mia was stabbed in the side, died alone, she was probably scared, but why would I know, I wasn't with her because we got separated in the chaos."

"She did not die alone, I was with her. She was brave. You never cared for your sister, all you did was taunt and make fun of her. You are using this as a guilt trip" I say, filled with anger. 

"Glimmer, what are you doing?" Hannah whispers, worried.

"And who are you? I don't think I recognize you" Queen Stella says, looking at me.

"I am Glimmer, a crystalizer from Earth." I say confidently. 

"Ah, so you were cast aside, like me" 

"What, no?" 

"Well then where is your family?" 

"I- I don't have..." I look over at Jack, fear in his eyes. "Actually, I have one right here." 

"Aw, how romantic. I noticed the two of you at the festival, on the balcony. OF course, Kato ruined the whole night and messed up my plan but that doesn't matter anymore. I am here to get you all of my plate, as you are also messing everything up" 

"What do you mean, Kato messed up at the festival." Flamara asks. 

"Oh doesn't matter anymore. What matters is making sure none of you get in my way." Stella says. "So I'm going to have to kill you all now." Stella floats into the air and closes the doors. The King and Queen fire ice at Stella. 

"Run children, get out of here" They say. 

"But-" Hannah starts.

"JUST RUN!" 

The four of us start to run out of the room. 

"OH no you don't" Jane yells and runs after us. Khaleesi blasts down the door and we run down a hallway. Following Hannah, we run down other hallways towards an exit. Jane throws long wooden spears at us, one scrapes my arm. I hiss in pain, but keep running, adrenalin pushing me forward Jack freezes the door before Jane reaches it. We run into a snow covered forest. 

"Is she still following us." Flamara asks as we slow down. 

"I don't see her." Khaleesi says, looking back. 

"There's a cabin about five minutes away, we can walk there and rest until it is safe to leave." Jack says. 

"Will they not find us there?" I ask. I look down at my arm, and the cut is deeper than I thought. 

"That's the cool thing about this cabin, it can only be revealed by a Royal of the freezers." Hannah says with a smile, walking in the direction of the cabin. 

"It is our escape cabin, a silent space away from all the crazies of the royal life." Jack says.
