Chapter 4- Rock Puns

Vixen's Pov

"FINALLY!" I screamed as the village came into view. "Oh that took sooooo long." I took a deep breath in relief. "It's only been... Never mind. Anyways, we should probably find a place to stay first." Bliss noted us as we enter the town.

This town was a fair size. A little smaller than the average town but still pretty big and easy to get lost in. Some of the houses were made out of stone while the other half, out of dark oak wood. I think... There were all sorts of shops and people everywhere as well. It was kinda... Cute?

"Okay. Maybe we should split up. Ember, go buy some more food and stock up on anything else useful. I'll go find somewhere to stay. Vixen, find anything usefull. Anything at all. If you get lost, you know what to do" She smiled and we all split up.

After quite a while, I found a place to repair weapons, buy various kinds of baked goods and even someplace where the latest info was posted. I think that counts as useful. I walked along the path not looking where I was going and bumped into someone. "Oh! Whoops! sorr-" Then I noticed who it was.

"Oh it's just you." I winked at Bliss who turned to face me. "Any luck?" She shook her head. "Nope." She sighed but perked up and had a weird look on her face. I recognized it and tried to stop her but with no avail.

"You could say-"

"Nooooo"

"I'm off to a-"

"Please no!"

"ROCKY START?"

I screeched in agony. "WHY" She just chuckled. "What? Hey, don't take my jokes for GRANITE!" She winked at me. "Oh my gosh." I barely refrained myself from slapping her. "Do you feel the PRESSURE?" She joked again. "Stop the rock puns!" She shrugged. "Sorry. I'm just hitting ROCK BOTTOM HERE" I finally stopped holding back and delivered one hard slap to her pale face.

"That was a GEM of a punch but I think to really get me to stop you need to DIG DEEPER. Don't worry, it won't ERODE your brain!" She laughed in pain and joy at the same time. "I am so done" I sighed and kept walking. "Don't be so COAL with me!"

Finally we found a decent place to stay and payed the people for three people to sleep there. "Finally. Now it's time to relax...." I settled down in our room while Bliss immediately dove on the bed. "Scootch" I said as I sat down besides her and pushed her out of my way. She groaned in response but did anyways.

"So, shall we contact Ember?" I asked her getting a nod. For a brief moment, Bliss's eyes flashed but faded as the energy she let out was adsorbed by the crystal on her bracelet. The crystal glowed and soon, mine was as well. It shimmered before we could hear her.

"Hey have you found something?" Ember's voice sounded from both the crystals. "Yeah, I found us a nice place to stay. It has only one bed but it's huge!" Bliss smiled even though Ember couldn't see her. "Cool! Where is it?" Bliss gave her landmarks to look out for to find it and the gem stopped glowing and returned to it's normal state.
