Third Person
{The Past}
The girl laid down on the white sheets of the bed. Currently, she was awake though not too long ago she dreamed. The dreams confused her and as silence filled the room, the girl with amnesia tried to decipher it.
Though most of it was fuzzy, one part stood out to her.
********
The room was dim and the face of someone was above her, looking down. She smiled warmly at me as my eyes closed. It was strange, the smile was the only thing I could see on her face.
The rest blurred.
"Sleep now. Perhaps tomorrow will be better for us." The voice was almost... Sad.
I could feel myself slipping into the darkness as the final words echoed. "I hope you can have a better life than I. My Bliss..."
Their voice faded along with everything else.
*********
The thoughts vanished from their mind temporally as the door opened. Two strangely dresses females entered the room looking at the blue eyed one in front of them.
The honey colored hair one could have done many things. She choose to smile.
"Hello!" She greeted them. Though her condition made her forget her personal memories, things like talking, walking and general knowledge were still in her mind. The pair glanced at each other before smiling back.
"Hey uh... Person." The raven haired girl attempt conversation. "Hey." The warrior greeted. "Are you... Okay?" She nodded her head. "The people who healed me mentioned I was found by people. Was that you two?"
"Yep." The thief responded as if it were an everyday question. The one sitting's eyes brightened. "Thank you then!" Questions formed from within the others heads until finally one blurted out, "How can you talk and know things if you have amnesia?"
At that moment, they saw her frown for the first time. "I don't know... I woke up like that." The soldier was the next to talk. "Also, why were you screaming last time we saw you? Like, when you woke up in the middle of the night?" She thought for a while trying to remember. "I had a bad dream. I can't seem to recall what it was... The needle didn't help."
"That brings me to another question, why did the needle scare you so much?"
"It's long, sharp and was coming at me while I couldn't remember where I was and with people crowding around me. Of course I freaked out! Plus needles are scary."
"... Fair."
"What's your name?"
The warrior nearly slapped her. "She has amnesia, why would you ask that?" She just shrugged in response. "Why are we asking her questions in the first place?" The soldier rolled her eyes. "Those questions made some sense to ask. I mean seriously, what idiot asks someone's name to someone who can't remember personal memories? Oh wait, you." Cold brown eyes met the green ones in anger. "I'm an idiot? Says the person who asks someone wearing a mask who they are!" They growled. "Well-"
"HEY!" A voice broke them out of their fight and back to the source.
"To answer your question, I'm not sure if this is my name but I have an idea of what it could be..?" She said hesitantly.
The pairs eyes widened. "Really? How?" She fiddled with the bed sheets. "Not sure but I had a dream... They called me Bliss."
"Bliss huh? Not bad. I'm Ember."
"And I'm Vixen."
Bliss smiled at them and held out her hand. Vixen and Ember just stared at it. Ember couldn't believe how pale it was. "... Do you not shake hands when meeting new people? That's what my mind is telling me..." They snapped out of it and accepted it one at a time. "Sorry. Wasn't thinking about that."
Bliss shrugged it off and grinned at them. "You're quite cheerful for someone with amnesia." Vixen commented. "I guess I am! It kinda feels good to be happy so I want to stay happy! By smiling! And maybe being an optimist or something. I'm sorta new at this."
