Bliss's Pov

I led the way. It took me quite a while to find it but finally I did. After all, I had no idea exactly what I was looking for. Vixen was a bit impatient I could tell but kept her mouth shut. By now, she knew better than to interrupt me while I'm working. Hopefully.

"I think It's around here?" I guessed. Vixen gave me a sceptical look. "You said that twice and you haven't been right yet." She replied. "Yeah well, this one feels weird. It's not supposed to be here. Unless." I thought for a moment. "You know towns better than me. Do towns have big tunnels under them?" I asked her.

Her eyebrows raised in a puzzled manner. "No.... Why?" She slowly replied. "Well then I think I found the things lair." I winked and gave her a stupid smile. The knight chuckled a bit and shook her head. "You dork!" She punched my arm lightly. You know in a playful way. I laughed as well. It's good to keep her happy. She can't perform nearly as well in distress and same goes with Ember. Though I suppose that anger would be better.... Still!

"Anyways," Vixen said getting back on the point. "How do we do this anyways? If it's underground I mean?" I hummed to myself while I considered the options. Creating a tunnel would take too long and I would be tired out AND might be unstable so that's out. Creating a fissure would cause extreme damage. An earthquake is just unnecessary.

Welp. One option left. "Okay I know what I can do but you won't like it."

"Oh come on what could be so bad that I-"

Before she could react I wrapped my arms around her and took us both underground. Muffled protest came from her but If I stopped now she might suffocate. Though I was blind currently, I used my powers to navigate through the earth and pop safely out into the very lair of the monster we had something to settle with.

Vixen instantly broke out of my grip as we arrived and fell down, panting. "Never again. I thought you said there was no more taking me underground!" I took in as much air as I needed to become stable once again and replied. "It was the only way. Sorry but I had to."

Her green eyes pierced mine with anger. "Warn me next time!" I sighed once again knowing I would have to explain my actions. "If I did, you would have refused and I would have had to drag you down anyways and then you would have been ready and It would have made my job a LOT harder." I pointed out.

She opened her mouth but I stopped her before even a sound came out. "Don't even bother. I have known you for so long that this is predictable." She closed her mouth in defeat and averted her gaze. She always did that when she knew she was wrong.

"Fiiiiiine" She got up and brushed off some rock that had stayed on her. "Let's go do this already." I gave her a wink. "That's the spirit. Come on!"

It was barely even two minutes before we ran into it.

"Should we go right or le-" I broke off when I felt my magic cut out. "What?" Vixen whispered noticing my strange behavior. "It's near by." I whispered back. A weird clicking noise came from the left and I turned to meet it. The picture in the book was very accurate. Only difference was that it didn't tell me how big it was. It was only a bit taller than me but even so, pretty scary.

"Look away!" I shouted at the other member of WIND and just in time too! The beast was turning its petrifying gaze to her but it did nothing given that it wasn't looking her in the eye. Dodged a huge bullet there!

However, the thing wasn't done. Just because it couldn't turn us to stone I guess meant that it had to kill us? Or maybe it was just pissed. I'm not really sure. I reached for my short sword but the Aleafare saw me and I wasn't fast enough. It's head bashed into my body and before I knew it, I was soaring through the cave and hit the ground.
