Dr. McConnell met his daughter at the door and grabbed the package she was carrying. He hurried back to Bobby's room and injected the drug into the IV port where it entered the vein.

Kelly followed her father into the room and watched him administer the drug. Within ten minutes Dean began to seize.

Bobby ran to the bed and reached for the young man. The doctor and paramedic tried everything they could think of.

"We're losing him," McConnell groaned.

There's got to be something we can do," Bobby cried out.

"I've done all I can. If we were in a hospital, maybe, but not here."

Castiel appeared in the room and mentally moved those around the bed. He looked at Dean in surprise. 'What had happened?'

Reaching out, the angel placed his hand on Dean's head and a white light flowed from him to the dying man.

'You are not going to die on my watch, Dean. As long as Father will allow me, I will guard you. It is my calling.'

Dean's seizures stopped, his fever broke, and his wounds were healed. The angel knew Father would not be pleased with that part but enough was enough.

"What happened?" The paramedic wiped the sweat of the hunter's brow.

"I don't know. He should not be doing this." The doctor began to examine the young man and found the scar tissue where the knife wound had been.

"I've never denied that there is a God but I've never believed either," Bobby murmured.

"This is a miracle. I've never seen one quite like this. Kelly, let's put some clean clothing on him. He's drenched from the sweat."

Dean was bathed and clothing changed. The two caregivers and Bobby went into the kitchen to have a cup of coffee.

Dean slept peacefully with an angel by his side.
