Chapter Text

Dean sat in his baby, waiting for Sam to finish packing and saying his goodbyes to Jessica. Dean sighed, realizing his brother was not happy to see him. He was surprise the man finally agreed to go with him.

Sam placed his duffle in the back seat of the car and opened the front passenger side and climbed in.

Dean started the car and they hit the road. Sam remained silent, and Dean was almost overwhelmed with his attitude. They stopped for coffee about four in the morning.

"How's school going?"

"It's doing all right. Like I said, I need to be back on Monday for that interview. It means everything to me."

"I'll get you there."

Sam was silent again.

"She's a beautiful girl, Sammy. How long have you two been together?"

"Long enough. If you ever talk to her like that again, I'll kick your ass. Don't call me Sammy."

Dean began to wonder if this had been a good idea. Sammy was not happy. He sighed and turned on the radio.

"That's loud," his brother griped.

Dean sighed again and lowered the volume. This was going to be a very difficult trip. He hoped they found Dad fast.
