"So were do you live?" Marcel asked once we got in my car.

"Um, about twenty minutes from here."

"Oh, wow." He simply said.

"Yeah. I live far from Louis."

He nodded and went silence until I couldn't take it anymore. "I hope you don't mind, but we'll be home alone for a bit." I could see Him swallow from the corner of my eye. "N-no, it's fine." He looked at me. "R-really." I could tell he was nervous because he was stuttering and fiddling with his fingers again. We walked into the house and into the kitchen. I wasn't comfortable having him in my room yet. I know that he wouldn't try anything on me, but it was just a precaution. We started working on physics and that's it. When I said just homework, he really did take it seriously.

All we talked about was homework. It was been an hour and a half and I wasted so much time already. My mum or Devon would be home soon and I couldn't risk having them see Marcel. "So..."

"So?" He asked confused. I moaned and rolled my eyes. This was going nowhere, he could be so naive and oblivious at times. "What's wrong?" "Nothing, I'm fine," I mumbled. "Please tell me." I shook my head. "Let's just get back to. Homework," I said crinkling my nose. Right away he went back to homework. What is wrong with him? "It looks like the answer about the atom structure is in the second paragraph on page one forty two. See, it says-"

"I can't do this anymore!" I slammed my pencil on the table and stood up, surprising Marcel with my outburst. "Wha-what's wrong?"

"When a girls says 'nothing's wrong' or 'I'm fine' she isn't fine and wants you to talk to her."

"But, you... I tried and you wanted to-"

" yeah, I know." I looked at him and locked eyes with him. "Marcel, this is killing me. I really need to tell you something."

I wasn't sure how I could tell Marcel this. I'd rather do it now then wait and hurt him. My eyes were still locked with his. I bit my lip trying to steady my breathing. My heart was beating so fast I thought it might burst straight through my chest. "I'm sorry about randomly coming into your life. I just, I." His eyes were frantically searching mine trying to understand what I wanted to say,but I knew that I couldn't do it. "I've had the biggest crush on you for a while now." I bit my lip trying to contain myself from swearing at myself. That's not what I wanted to say, I wanted to tell him the truth. Thanks to my Big mouth, I can't turn back now. I just played along with my words, trying to make him believe, because I barely believed myself." I just never had the guts to say anything. I thought that if we hung out more I could know the real you. I know you're hiding something, but I don't know what. I was hoping we could get closer so you could..."

"I could what?"

"Ask me to Homecoming." An amused smiled slowly crept on his face.

"What? This isn't funny."

"Yeah it is. You? Have feelings for me?" He asked with a slight chuckle. I looked down at my hands that I was nervously fumbling.

"Wait, you're serious?" I looked up and met his eyes again. I slowly nodded my head, not being able to speak. "Oh." We stared at each other for I don't know how long. I felt so bad for lying to him. I thought about how I would say it all day, and that was what I exactly wanted to avoid. "Maybe I should take you home." I grabbed my car keys and went out the door before he could answer. I felt so bad, but also so embarrassed and exposed. Like I told my biggest secret to the entire school. Marcel finally emerged from the house and got into the passenger seat. The drive was filled with an awkwardly uneasy silence. After he told me the directions, I pulled up to his house, that was relatively close to Louis'. He got out of the car in silence, never answering my question. I knew that I shouldn't have talked about him hiding something, but that was the one truthful thing I could say in that conversation. I started to pull out of his driveway when he came running towards the road. "Addy! Wait!" I rolled down my window.
