I finally got a paragraph done on my essay after reliving the night that is haunting me at this very second. I went downstairs for dinner because my mum hasn't stopped shouting up the stairs telling me to get my bum down there or she's coming up to get me.
I grabbed a plate of food and pushed it around on the porcelain plate. I wasn't very hungry right now. My family talked about my dad's arrangements to get on his plane tonight and leave us once again. I should have been listening but I was too distracted to even use the energy to care about it. God I'm so lazy.
"Addy, did you hear what I said?" My mother set down her fork to fold her hands above the table. My brother continued eating and my dad was pretending to steal food off of his plate.
"No sorry. What did you say?" She sighed at my uninterest but continued talking anyway. "I got a call today." I looked back down t my plate and rolled a diced potato around with my fork.
"The theatre called today while you were at school." With all this so called drama I forgot about my audition and the nerves that come along with waiting for the call. "What did they say?" The nerves came back, but I got excited as I saw a smile on my mother's face.
"Well, they said that they are willing to offer you a main role. Isn't that great?" Even though she raised her voice with excitement, my brother and dad were still deep in their own little world and started a new conversation. For some reason, I wanted them to stop talking and listen to this news. To give a crap about what was going in my life right now. I don't know why it's bothering me, but since my dad is leaving tonight I would think he would want to spend some quality time with us. "Yeah, that's fantastic. I didn't even think I would get a part."
She clapped her hands together and gave me a big, bright smile. "What show is it again honey?"
"Um, Once. Once the Musical." She nodded her head saying oh. I knew she had no idea what it was about and that she'd be asking me later. "I'm gonna go upstairs and finish my homework."
"Okay. You didn't finish your dinner." I picked up my plate and set it by the sink. "I'm not that hungry." I looked at my mum before going upstairs. My dad was completely ignoring her as she sat finishing her food. I felt a little bad, but I went upstairs anyway.

"Hey Jen." I talked to my laptop screen looking at Jennifer's makeup less face.
"Hi girl. What's up?" She picked up an apple and bit out of it. "I remembered what happened. It started when-" she held up her finger, signaling me to stop. She chewed the apple in her mouth quickly and swallowed it. "Spill everything." I laughed before telling her the story. Everything that happened, or at least everything I could remember. After I told her, I couldn't go on without getting her opinion on it of course.
"Look, it's not that bad Addy. I mean, yeah you stripped at a party. And yeah you could've worn actual fitting underwear. But look at the bright side, at least you're not naked."
"Yeah, but it's still so embarrassing," I whined, sounding like a six year old girl again.
"Addy, just think of it as wearing a bikini. It's practically the same thing." She pointed out. I never thought of it like that. I guess it would've been different if I had a lacy set of underwear on instead just solid colors. It did make me feel a little better. Except there was one problem.
"They've never seen me in a bikini, Jen. So they'll only think of it as simply a bra and panties."
She turned her mouth up into a pout like shape. She was clearly thinking very hard as she looked to the ceiling as if the answer was written on the ceiling fan.
