I was pondering on whether to wear a dress or nice jeans. Since it was cold out I decided on jeans. I put on black skinny jeans before turning my attention back to my wardrobe I stood staring at the racks of clothing while trying find what shirt to wear. I put on a red jumper that was loose on my body but tighter on my arms. It had thin white, horizontal stripes spaced out across the shirt. I put over it my black leather coat with my new white vans. They were a little big, but I could still walk in them. I told my mom that I was going to Jennifer's. so she agreed on picking me up at seven and Marcel would pick me up at her house. "Addy, she's here." I took one more look at myself in the mirror. I smoothed out my jumper and raked my fingers through my hair quickly trying to tame the wavy beast on my head right now. I grabbed my phone and stuck it in my coat pocket. I ran down the stairs and said goodbye to my mum. I went out to Jennifer's car and slid in the passenger seat.

"Hey, you look nice," she complimented.

"Thanks," I smiled. I put my hands in my lap while Jennifer gave me advice on proper etiquette for the date. So I don't give him the wrong signals or something. When we got to her house she said she needed to 'touch me up'. I let her, since she wouldn't stop bothering me about it. "Put this on." She handed me a red fabric headband. It wrapped around my head and made a little bow on the side. It looked great with the outfit and I thanked her. She smoothed out my hair so it didn't look so crazy, and I sat with my hands in my lap.

"Just calm down. " she told me in a soothing quiet voice.

"I am calm." I told her.

"Your fingers say otherwise." I stopped rubbing my knuckle and rolled my eyes at her. She added a light layer of makeup on my face to finish the look. For the rest of the time we sat and talked about new movies that we could see together, which only lasted about ten minutes. She kept glancing out the window, checking to see if Marcel arrived yet. "Oh! He's here," she gasped. I sat up and leaned over to get a look at what she was talking about. But I couldn't because Jennifer grabbed my hands and pulled me to my feet.

"Remember stay calm and don't give any signals." I nodded my head once letting her know that I understood.

"Ready?" I nodded my head again, not sure what I should be expecting from Marcel. I could already feel the butterflies forming in my stomach. I walked behind Jennifer as she went to greet Marcel at that door. I didn't make eye contact with him, I was looking down the whole time. I didn't know why I was nervous for this date, but I was.

"Addy," he acknowledged when he was finished talking to Jennifer. The way he said my name made my heart jump and forced me to look at him. I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. He was wearing loose fitting jeans and a black t shirt with a black cashmere coat over it. He looked really nice, but he wasn't wearing his glasses again. I don't know why, I like them.

"Like what you see?" Jennifer joked, her and Marcel chuckling. I gave her a nervous smile and looked away. "We should probably go." I looked back to Marcel and nodded my head. He said bye to Jennifer and I made sure to give her a glare on the way out. He opened the door for me and I made sure to thank him for his gentleman acts. He walked around the car and sat in the driver's seat. "You look nice," I complemented before he could say it. He gasped and pouted, " you took my line." I laughed and him. "So where are we going?" He smirked at me while he started the car. "Wouldn't you like to know."
