Chapter Fourteen
Autumn Conway P.O.V
"Louis," I snapped as my boyfriend finally picked up the phone. "Where are you?"
"I was just taking Bree and Harry somewhere," He answered, his voice shaky. Where would he be taking them? And why would the two of them even be together?
"And you didn't tell me, why?" I asked, tapping my foot impatiently. "You still have to pack for Chicago this weekend." We had decided to tell my parents as quickly as possible I was pregnant. I thought the quicker they knew, the more time they had to accept it.
"I know, and I will. I wasn't planning on taking them anywhere, so I didn't think you needed to know." I could tell by the tone of his voice he was lying. Me, being myself, decided to not think anything of it.
Letting out a sigh, I grabbed the pile of t-shirts that were on my bed, and tossed them into my pink suitcase. It was only Monday, but we would be leaving Wednesday. I was never one to pack this late, let alone get tickets this late. But with my disease I was slow moving around. "When do you think you'll be back?"
"Probably In about ten minutes," He answered. "Do you want me to stop by your place, or should I just go over to mine?" I could hear him sigh as he said it. Since he found out he had wanted us to move in together. Another one of the reasons I wanted my parents to know so soon. I didn't want to move in with Louis until they knew about all of this.
"You choose. I could always run over there after I'm done packing. I need a break from all of this." I sighed, sitting down on my bed. I could almost see Louis run a hand through his hair at the thought of me going anywhere. I was only three months along, but he was acting as if I was eight. He hated me walking long distances, and me being alone made him even more wary.
"I'll pick you up on my way through town. See you then?" He said, showing his protectiveness once again. I told him 'okay' and began packing once again. I glanced over to my dresser where the Conway's most recent family portrait sat. It was for our churches directory, due to my Dad being the pastor there.
Yes, my dad was a Pastor. Which made none of this any easier. I had grown up always going to church, attending every youth event, some Bree even attended. Eventually I had convinced her family to come, something my parents were very proud of. They always hoped I would become a missionary. I slowly began to walk closer to the picture, catching smaller details. There on my ring finger, was my purity ring. I had gotten it for my fourteenth birthday. I remembered the promise it was for, and the thought of me looking at it only made me feel guiltier about what I had done.
After I had done what I did with Louis, I sent the ring back to my parents. They weren't to thrilled, but accepted the fact I had made a mistake. I assured them it wouldn't happen again until I was married. They accepted it quickly. They even told me they were glad it was with Louis. They thought he was nice and would make a good partner for me. Of course, at this time we had only been together for a month.
"Autumn?" I was snapped from my thoughts by Louis' voice echoing through the apartment.
"In here," I called, popping my head out of the room. He smiled over to me, walking towards me.
"Hey, babe," He grinned, wrapping his arms around my waist. I could feel my knees start to feel weak at his touch. I looked up at him, meeting his eyes, smiling.
"Hey," I answered, standing on my tip toes, placing a gentle kiss on his lips. "So, we going to go start your packing?"
"Babe," He whined, scrunching up his nose. "Do we have to?" His grip on me tightened, pulling me closer to him. Our faces were nearly together, and I could feel the heat of his breath on my skin.
