"Wow already took one down, huh?" A tall lady with blonde hair turned the corner on the opposite side of the alleyway.

"Yea, mama," Kayla said, " when I called you I thought it would be a bigger challenge, but they aren't that good to be honest."

I struggled to get up as the two girls slowly walked towards me. The taller one was obviously a witch by what she was wearing, but she had soul protect on. She couldn't hurt me with her powers.

"A witch and a witch's daughter against who? Me? Just me? That doesn't sound fair," I said, smirking and standing up.

"Fair doesn't mean anything in this world," the witch said.

Kayla looked down at her hand that was sparking. I tried to run but I fell on my face. I looked down to see my toes tied to the ground.

"You were supposed to tie her WHOLE FOOT!" The witch yelled.

"I'm sorry ma'am Layla," Kayla squeaked, "I'm not that strong yet."
I noticed the stitches disappeared, so I took the chance to regain my stance, while Kayla and Layla were fighting. I ran around them to Kid, who was still laying on the ground.

"Kayla! Don't let her wake him up!" The witch exclaimed.

"Don't worry mama he's out for a few hours, or forever," Kayla said, fixing her nails nonchalantly.

He could be dead?! No! I immediately checked Kid's pulse, it was strong, but his soul had been thoroughly weakened. Kid's strong, his soul is also, it can make it back to normal way faster than Kayla had thought. I stood and faced the two. They were closer
than I had thought.

I slipped on my back and then pushed myself through Kayla's legs and stood up on the opposite side of them. Before they had the chance to turn, I put my hands on both their faces and slammed them to the ground. They both groaned.

I ran to the end of the alley way and when they stood up, I barreled back at them to knock them both over Kid and fall into the wall.

"Octain!" Layla called, horsily.
I was confused until a tall, strong looking man appeared around the same corner Layla had.

"Sorry, I couldn't tell if you needed me yet," the man said in a low, intimidating voice.

Kid started to stir and moan as Kayla and Layla got up to walk over to me. "What? 2vs1 wasn't easy enough for you?" I asked, pretending not to be scared. I knew Kid would wake soon and I would have a partner. I would usually run in a situation like this, but I couldn't just leave Kid.

The three enemies chuckled at me. "Yeah, that's why," Kayla said, sarcastically.

"Kid!" I yelled when he finally sat up. It took him a few seconds to realize where I was. He scoped the area and looked back at me, wide eyed.

Kid's POV

"Kid!" I heard Cora yell. I couldn't find her. What happened? Where was I? I looked around and remembered that Kayla had hit me with her Soul Wavelength. Wow I'm an idiot. How long was I out? Is Cora hurt? I finally found her surrounded by Kayla, some lady, and a really huge muscular guy. I bet I was out for quite a while.

When I stood up, they all looked at me. I full sprinted towards Cora. The three of them were ready to strike when I got close. I actually jumped over them, but the strong guy grabbed my ankle. Before I lost my momentum I transformed and Cora caught me for the first time in what felt like forever.
Cora took a few steps back and then lunged forward to get out of the boundary the three witches had made around us.

"Transform!" She yelled after she jumped. I felt sort of like Liz and Patti, transforming back and forth like this. I landed just outside the three witches and blasted the man and older woman with as many shots as I could.
