The New Reaper

Chapter 10

This chapter takes place right after Kid and Cora get back from visiting Lord Death. It is about 5:30pm. Since it is only October it isnt terribly dark out yet. Lord Death didnt really tell them anything-like he always does when he doesnt want a secret let out- he just acted surprised and changed the subject.

Cora's POV

"Bye, Kid. Bye, Cora!" Maka rang as we stepped in the house after visiting Lord Death.

"See you tomorrow!" Kid answered, then shut the door, I went right up to my room to be alone, and maybe peice together why Clyde might've fallen in the hands of such a powerful witch-Lord Death said even the most non-evil people can fall into the temptations of a witch. Why would he do it? What did the witch say she'd give him? This was hard because I didn't really know him that well anymore. We used to be closer than twins, but since he had run away, I hadn't really had the opportunity to, well, be with him as much, or at all. A knock on the window woke me from my thinking. It was CLYDE! I screamed in surprise. Kid was in here in record time. It kinda made me think if he was like, waiting outside the door? He can be really- wait why was I thinking about this? I had come in contact with Clyde- my evil brother that wants to eat my soul and I was thinking about how weird Kid is, the hell? I really have to get my priorities straight. OHMYGOODNESS Focus Cora, FOCUS! Clyde had fled, but Kid had been telling me to get up and chase him.

"Cora! Hello!" Kid yelled from the door, signaling his hand for me to follow him.

"What? Oh! I was totally listening!" I said, getting up from my spot on my bed.

"No you weren't," Kid teased. We sprinted out the door and got on our Beelzebubs, not really thinking, and headed in the direction Clyde went. It wasn't long until we caught up to him- he was never the fastest of runners. I was pondering why we had followed him when he ducked into this weird door thingy in the ground, the door was at an angle so I thought the hideout would be entirely underground. As Clyde went through the door a weird girl with bluish white hair, an orange hat, and a black and white polka dotted dress took his place.

"Your not getting in to see Lady Medusa. She's busy now," The girl mocked us, "You'll have to come back- WHEN YOU'RE DEAD!" She threw a black ball at us. It had white eye looking things and a red smiling mouth.

"TADPOLE BOMB!" Kid shrieked and pulled me back, I think this witch is a little stupid, becasue the bomb had blown the door open.

"Thanks," I said mockingly as Kid and I headed inside. There was a long hall thing, I don't really know what to call it- mostly because it was entirely metal and a cirle instead of your usual square shaped hallways and it was like A MILE LONG, my ears popped like 3 times, if that's possible? Kid just told me to swallow, it made me laugh because he was acting like a parent to me. But we finally came into this all metal- not surprising- room, there was a woman with short dirty blonde hair and snake tattoos up her arms, she was facing away from us at the other end. We had learned about the evil Medusa at my old school from ancient greek mythology or something and how she had snakes coming out of her head as hair- this woman didn't have snake hair, but she did have a lot of snake tattoos.

"Surprise is our best tactic," Kid whispered.

All of a sudden Medusa laughed really hard, "You think you can sneak up on me- do you?" She said between gasps for air.

"Shit" Kid swore under his breath.

"Vector Plate!" An arrow was instantly placed under our feet, it pointed to Medusa. We slid toward her in a heap, with Kid on top of my legs.

"LIZ?!" I saw a girl in a glass container in front of Medusa's chair. She had dirty blonde hair and a red half sweater on. "Liz, Patti, Clyde, Stein, and Crona," Kid listed off the other people in different containers.

OK. sorry its short i just got a really cool idea of how to do my nails for school and i really want to try it b4 i have to go to my dads so sorry! Its gonna alternate between Medusa arrows and death the kids sanzu lines <3 awesome. ok well u prob. dont care about that but whatever. so yeah school starts on wednesday so i will be able to write there because i dance till like 10 at night on wedesdays and tweusdays so i wont be able to on those days anyways hope you like this story i know i do <3
