Chapter 32

Kid's POV

The muscular man just fell forward, knocking into, as well as knocking over, the lady with the thin blonde hair.

"Just flee, Kid!" Cora said.

I obeyed and ran directly out of the alleyway (if I bet nothing else from this story at least I have learned how to spell alleyway). I could hear footsteps running behind us. They were obviously following me. I tried to make as many turns and stuff to loose them, but they were really determined to catch us. I wonder why.

I threw Cora into the air, weapon form of course, to call my Beelzebub from my hand. I caught Cora and flew away from the witches. They even tried to follow me and Cora, but they failed because the Beelzebub allows us to travel at a faster speed. We outran them pretty fast.

"I have to meet Stein in a half hour," Cora said when we landed outside Death Manor.

"At 3:30?" I asked.

"Yeah. Look, I bet this goes without saying but you can't let anyone know you saw me, okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, I figured," I smiled. I pulled her into a hug, "But I'm not letting you go until you PROMISE I can see you again."

Cora's POV

I hugged Kid back, "I only get out at night" I said.

"I'll stay up all night, every night, I don't care," He said pulling away from the hug and looked into my eyes.

"It's weird I'm the short one," I said, looking back up into Kids golden ones.

He chuckled, "I'm used to it."

"Oh yeah, Liz and Patti right?"

"They're freaking giants!" Kid laughed.

"I bet they're nice, though," I said, suddenly feeling myself get jealous.

"Yeah so, uhm, not to be weird or anything," Kid said, putting his hands on my shoulders like he was about to say something real important, "Why are you like not dead?!" He shook my shoulders.

I laughed, I loved goofy Kid. This is a side of him that rarely came out. Because he's a reaper, I think he feels it's his responsibility to be, well, responsible and put together. "I don't know," I said, " I really don't," I shrugged.

"So you're just alive? You didn't ask why?"

"I did but Spirit gave me some vague answer," I said.

"Sounds like my dad."

"Yeah, look I'm sorry to run like this but Stein will probably dissect me and eat my flesh for breakfast if I make him wait for me."

"Where is he waiting? And why?"

I filled Kid in on what I knew about the situation and that I was basically being held hostage underneath the academy.

Kid smiled when I had finished talking, "Okay, so meet me here outside my house at midnight tomorrow night, okay?"

"Okay, but don't let me ruin your sleep," I said.

"Seeing you is worth it," Kid said, kissing me again. "See you tomorrow," he said as I ran off.

Whoa wait its Monday already?! I think I slept most of this past week so sorry this chapter sucks major ass but I've just been so tired lately. So sorry your entertainment is being affected by my laziness.
