KID'S POV (Point Of View)

By the time Girl stepped downstairs into the living room/kitchen, I couldn't help think how weird it was to see Girl dressed up, It was a break from her usual jeans-t-shirt-beanie look, she told me she always wore that all black beanie to hide her sanzu stripes. Anyway, it had gotten pretty late, it was already 11:43.

"Hey, Girl," I said.

"Hmm?"

"We should get going."

"Shoot, you're right," She said, grabbing a granola bar.

I summoned Beelzebub from my palm and held out a hand for her to hop on. She climbed on hesitantly. As we took off she held my waist very tightly, I could tell she didn't like heights. After about half the ride she laid her head on my back without single word. As we reached the top of the DWMA's stairs I noticed there weren't any students, which is weird because 11:30 is lunch. I noticed a piece of paper on the door.

"Hey, Girl,"

"Hmm?"

"We must've slept through the initial announcement."

"Do we still have our class?"

"Yes," I said taking out a key and unlocking the door. Stein and Miss Marie were awaiting our arrival in the gym. We mostly focused on Girls shinigami powers, we focused on Girl because I had already had a few extra classes this week.

"So, Cora, do you know how to transform?" Stein asked

"Easily," she giggled and started to glow purple then shot into the air, I caught her with ease, turning her upside down.

"Impressive," Stein added

GIRLS POV

As Kid caught me he turned me upside down for some reason.

"Impressive," Stein added "Now can you two switch?"

Both of us transformed as I caught Kid, "Really, Kid?" I responded to him landing upside down, Twin Pistols <3

"Sorry," I saw shirtless Kid in his left pistol, "Habit," he smiled.

"Now for the final test before you two leave," He challenged, Kid tuning back into human form, "Bring out your Beelzebub!"

"Okay," I said confidently, since we learned it earlier.

"What do you do first?" Miss Marie helped.

"First you gather all of your energy to your core, or soul, then send it to your hand, and-" well out came Beelzebub.

"Good job," Stein said, he told me to ride it home to get used to riding it. I followed Kid, also on his Beelzebub, through Death City. By the time the tired sun went below the horizon and the moon greeted us, Kid had landed on the ground."

"Where are you going?"

"What?" he asked.

"Where are you going?" I repeated.

He simply smiled, "Follow me," I obeyed, not really a choice because I didn't really know my way through Death City yet. We skateboarded a while until we came to 24/7 tea & Coffee diner.

"Tea?" Kid asked politely.

"Sure," I said calling in Beelzebub and putting on my beanie.

Kid did the same holding the door for me. I have to admit it did make me feel special. A boy had never held the door for me before. As I walked through the door I heard a group of girls giggle and swoon.

KIDS POV

As I held the door open for Girl I saw her eyes light up, I was just being polite.

"Tea?" I asked finding us a table.

"Sure," she smiled that at smile that never seems to stay.

"What can I get you two?" the waitress asked.

"Can I have an earl green, please?" Girl spoke up, I have to admit I was kind of impressed she knew her teas.

"And you?" She looked at me.

"I'll have the same, thanks," I smiled.

There weren't many people in the café, just us and a group of girls giggling away. It mustn't have been fresh tea because the waitress was back before I could think of what to talk about.

"Anything else?" she asked.

I looked at Girl who shook her head, "No we're good."

"So, kid who's your friend?" the older waitress asked.

I paused, not knowing what to call her, I looked at her for help.

"Cora," she said politely, then held out her hand to her to welcome a hand shake.

"Nice to meet you, Cora. You two look awfully alike, are you two siblings?"

"No," I said "We're like 3rd cousins, I think."

"4th," Cora corrected.

"Why are you staying with Shinigami-sama, then?" the waitress looked at Cora.

Cora looked at me confused. "My father."

"Oh!" Cora got a saddened look on her face, "Well my parents wanted me to." She forced a not-so-convincing smile.

"How do you know her?" Cora asked me as the older lady walked away.

"I don't," I said telling the truth, "but everyone in Death City knows me," I said sipping my tea.

"That would get annoying," doing the same.

"I've learned to deal with it." I saw some older boy, maybe 16 or 17, open the door ringing the bell. I've never seen him before maybe he doesn't attend the academy. He was mumbling something as he walked down he aisle and suddenly grabbed Girl.

"You're coming home!" he said to her.

"What the hell?" she said "I don't have to go anywhere, freak!"

"You're coming home!" he repeated as Girl struggled to get loose of his grip.

"No I'm not!" she said jerking away finally, "Clyde?!"

"Surprised?" he said sprinting forward, hitting Girl with his soul's wavelength, rendering her unconscious. He caught her as she fell, and ran out

I Followed, "Home?" I thought, "Where the hell?" I followed Clyde through the alleyways of Death City until my ankles burned, but I wasn't letting this creep get away with Girl. He must be new to Death City's alleyways, because the idiot ran into a dead end. As he saw me running he set Girl down and came running at me, blades coming from his calves and forearms, as he side-kicked me, the kind I can easily dodge. I tripped his only foot on the ground, causing him to fall on my back and I flipped him, his forearm cutting my side.

"AHH!" I screamed setting my foot on his chest, "What are you to Cora?"

"Ha-ha, silly boy," he answered, grabbing my leg and whipping me into the building. I spit up blood as I regained strength, I stood up thinking how to defeat this weapon. I decided to wait till Cora wakes up or just to tire him out. Standing now, I kicked him in the chest causing him to stumble back and finally fall to the ground. That gave me enough time to grab Cora. As I ran past Clyde he put his arm out cutting my leg and slightly Cora's causing me to slow.

"Your blood, her blood, innocent and red, how about a new shade, like dark black?" Clyde said, stumbling toward us. I called Beelzebub now holding Cora in bridal position.

Cora was in and out of consciousness for a while after that, until her beautiful brown eyes fluttered open later that night in her bed looking up at me.
