Midnight Doesn't Last Forever

Midnight Kiss

I wake up to see the sun shining in through my open window. It's a beautiful day. I get up and start humming 'Its a Beautiful Day'. I walk to my cupboard and find some denim shorts and a t-shirt that says "Hug me". A ding goes off, I look round to see a notification had popped up on my iPhone. I pick it up to see that it is a text from my boyfriend, Harri.

"Hey babe, happy 5 year anniversary! Love you soo much! Can't wait for the party tonight! Xxxx" oh yeah, we decided to stay away from each other, I can't remember why, but it seemed a good enough reason at the time. Maybe it was to have the best kiss ever underneath the full moon at midnight, to save our breath, cause we will probably need it.

"Hey babe, love you too! Happy 5 year! Can't wait for midnight, save your breath! Xxxxxxx (haha, I put more kisses than you!)" I text back. I look in my wardrobe. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I grab my phone and look in the contacts. I select Taylor, Olivia, Dani, Eleanor, and Perrie. "Hey gurls! I have nothing to wear for tonight, what about you guys? Wanna go shopping? Xx" I wait for a few minutes. I get worried and look at the clock, 11 am, they should be up. All of a sudden, I get texts from all of them.

"Hey girlie! Yep! Sounds good! Me and Austin are celebrating too! I need to get a new dress! Oli xx"

"Hey guuurrrllll! Sure! I love shopping. Can I 'tag along' too, seems like everyone else we know is going! Xxx Dani"

"OMG YES! I can't believe it! Us five were asked out on the same day! Coincidence? I think not! I already have my outfit planned! Taylor xxx"

"Yes! Sounds good, me and Ethan are coming too! Anyone else? I can help pick the dress! El xxx"

"Yup yup yup! Of course, you know, you are like my sister! Me and Daniel are coming too! Perrie xxx"

I reply to them:

"Awesome! Oli, you and Austin are soo cute! Meet @ mine in an hour"

"Yes, Dani, you can come! Meet me @ my house in an hour"

"Taylor, maybe it is a coincidence, but the five of them are best mates! Meet @ my house in an hour"

"El, you probably have the best fashion sense! We need you! Yup, Oli and Austin, Dani, Taylor and Rhys, you and Ethan, and Perrie and Daniel, meet at mine in an hour!"

"Yes, sis, I know! Haha! Lol, meet at mine in an hour!" I sit and relax, my fingers now really hurt, speed texting is difficult!

My phone goes off.

"K! Cool, love you! El xxx" I don't text back, not to be antisocial, buutttt, I don't want a conversation. I realise I haven't eaten. OMG I NEED FOOD! I run downstairs and see a note on the side;

'Hey baby girl, me and dad are going to spend a day out, leaving you and Harri alone ;) be home at around 4! Love you! Mum' I love my mum, she lets me stay out and always teases me about Harri. I look in the fridge to see that my mum has left me some crumpets (yes how bloody British) my fave!!!! I put them in the microwave to heat up, I take them out and put a slice of butter on it and grab the honey. I pour it all over the crumpets. As I go to put the honey back, I notice something. Nutella, staring at me in the face. I eat my crumpets and put the dishes away and literally run to the cupboard. I grab the tub and a spoon, run to the TV, find NFL and start eating Nutella by the spoon full.

"C'mon Seahawks! Don't let Rodgers get the ball!!!" I yell at the screen with a mouthful of Nutella. I get a sudden heart attack. I look at the clock, 11:55. PANIC! I put the spoon in the dishwasher and put the Nutella back. I run to the bathroom and check my face. Oops. I grab a towel and wet it (you perverts) under the tap. I wash my face and all the Nutella comes off, thank GOD! By the time I finish the doorbell goes. I run to the door and open it.
