Chapter Ten
The Glow

Amara's POV

I moaned feeling a dull ache in my lower abdomen and in my head.

What, so does pain come with living on Earth?

Um..yep!

I sat up from bed shaking off last night's dream. My knees wobbled under me causing me to fall off the bed.

"Ugh! Damn this weird more gravity thing!" I yelled at well...Earth.

"Amara..AMARA! Are you okay? I'm coming!" The last person I wanted to see screamed from somewhere away from me.

I scowled at my stupid, white, moon legs.

Okay, legs. You better start working right now! I am not letting Cole pick me up off the floor! You were fine yesterday! Get your shit together!

As if on command, my legs magically started working helping me off the cold, wooden floor.

Wait, did I do that?

No, you nutter! I did. Seems you could use some help.

Don't you want Cole to touch us and all that stuff?

Yes but..today just the idea of Cole is sickening me. Not his wolf! Just his human.

"Now you know how I feel." I muttered under my breath just as my door slammed open revealing an almost sick looking Cole.

"Amara. I thought you..." He trailed off seeing my wobbly figure try to stand off the ground.

"Yelled? Fell?" I scowled noticing he wasn't wearing a shirt revealing a gorgeous set of-

"Um, yeah. Exactly." Cole grunted scratching the back of his neck, taking my attention away from his abs thankfully.

I snarled at my "mate","Um..Cole, yeah. Can you please-no-I order you to get out of this room. If you don't remember the last time you were in here you nearly took my virginity." Like Priscilla, I felt even more disgusted with him than usual. Which, is saying a lot.

Surprisingly, he left without another glance in my direction.

Huh? He's acting weird. No, retort?

Apparently not.

I looked around "my" room.

The curtains were a unique shade of blue. The sun shone threw them almost blinding me. It's not everyday I get to see so much sunshine. The heat felt almost wrong on my skin. As if both the sunshine and my skin knew that it shouldn't be on me.

My bed was the same shade of blue, except my pillows were pure white. The whole thing was still tempting me to jump on it.

The floor was dark and wooden, but shining clean. My reflection shined perfectly from it.

I sat back down on the floor looking at myself. My hair cascaded down my back and shoulder in simple dark waves, bringing attention to my all but too white face.
