~Chapter 2 Personal Slave and The Secret Lake~
(Jake's POV)
"Jake, there's something on your back," Stephanie said as she looked me into the eyes. "Stay really calm," she added as I closed my eyes.
"Have you got it?" I asked as she took her sweet sweet time.
"No," she said as she grabbed it off of me and put it into my face as I saw it was only a spider. One of the biggest ones that was normal around here. I grabbed it from her hand. "Hey!" She yelled. "I was gonna take it for a swim," she said as she pouted.
"More like drown it silly," I said as I put it up a tree as I saw Stephanie make a mental note of where I put it so she could smash it later. I shook my head. I didn't know what you do when it comes to your best friend. A best friend who also is a girl.
"I'll race you to the middle of the forest!" Stephanie shouted as she tripped over a stick and landed on her stomach with her arms spread out in front of herself. Her shirt pulled up just a little bit, but almost to her chest.
"Okay, last one there has to be the other persons personal slave for the next week," I said as I made it easy on her. I grabbed her hand and pulled her up. Being a slave wasn't truly a slave. It was just having to help with work, making food, and having fun together like they normally did.
"Yes, let's do it my slave," she said as she bolted for the woods. I ran after her as I closed my eyes and reopened them. Stephanie screamed as I tapped her on the back as she once again fell to the ground on her ass with a thump.
"Jackass," she mumbled
"I heard that, by the way you're the one who fell on their ass" I said as I picked her up by her arms. "Come on, it's getting late," I said as I got her steady on her feet again. "Run," I whispered into her ear as she screamed and bolted like a lamb with a fox chancing it.

Stephanie zigzagged through the trees as she kept her head down. Her hood of her jacket blown off a long time ago as she lifted her head and laughed.
"I'm gonna beat you," she said as she ran and looked back.
"I don't think so," I mumbled as I jumped into a low tree and jumped in front of her. "I think you're wrong," I said as she screamed a high pitched scream. I covered my ears as I gritted my teeth. That go me every time, just the tone itself.
I got up as I pulled her up with me. "Fine no one wins," I said as we hit the end of the forest that hit the middle to where our special lake was.
Stephanie closed her eyes and then opened then. "Oh shit," she silently said as her eyes were glued toward the fence that we played on as children. The same fence where Steph broke her arm on. "Who is she?" She mumbled as jealously hit her.
"Stephanie, can you leave. I think I need to talk to her," I said as it felt like a trace.
"Yeah, yeah," she mumbled as she walked back to the beginning of where we started.
"And now," I silently said to myself. "Now we play the waiting game." To tell you the truth. I didn't really like games. Only because it's about winning and losing... And in real life losing sucks.

Here I am at the lake. One I go to everyday with my friends. It should have be normal if I let my friend stay. Where soaked clothes and shapes in the clouds were counted. Like a normal day, but today is different. Everyone told me that I'll one day find the one... No I worded that wrong. Everyone told me that the one would find me one day. Well, that's what I think happened today.
I found myself feeling like an old friend, but then I found my hands tangled in her hair and her arms wrapped around my waist. It was sweet, I was in love, I could only hope that she felt the same thing.
I was looking at her, not in the eyes, even though that's what it looked like a little, but I was looking in her soul. Her soul wasn't white, but then it wasn't black, her soul was like a silver that called to my heart, but then I remembered I was looking for memories. Old memories that she would remember with time. If I stayed around her.
Little did she know what I am... i didn't know if she even trusted me yet. Maybe confused cause i seem to be human, but i felt like something confusing. All they told me was that I'd find my one, and I'd have to show her my world. Like in 1914. But she only seemed 18 if not 17 to me. 'I am a Bad Boy.' I thought silently to myself. I had to smile at the thought. 'And she's a Bad Girl.' This time I laughed.
Somehow tomorrow had to feel like a million years away and I already missed her. It was like a cord that couldn't break was getting stretched to its max. But it was gonna keep hurting the one holding on to it. Well, guess who was holding on to it?
Me. I couldn't help but hold on. She was. No, she is my life.
