~Chapter 5 Glitches And A Boyfriend~

Zoe (POV)

I feel asleep at 8pm, which is almost too early for me.

My mom walked in the room surprised at me being asleep so early. She saw somethings different about me. From the way I was happy for once and that I was finally getting over my old life of destruction. Maybe I fell asleep early was because I had a date at 1pm. I know I didn't have to go to sleep so early, but my body felt like it needed the rest. I was tired almost like if I hadn't slept in the last 10 days, but I knew I have slept. I remember walking up to my room and taking a shower. Then putting on my super soft fuzzy pjs. I loved those. I would never let someone else wear them ever. I remember when I decided I'd let no on wear them. They reminded me of Jake and it made me think of the kiss we shared. It was a good kiss, a demanding kiss, a sweet kiss, but then it's a kiss that fades in time. To some people it never happened, but to Jake and me it happened. For all I knew about Jake was he could have been 'a player' just using girls as he pleased. But that didn't sound like him. He looked like a loving guy, maybe never even broke a heart, but still I barely knew him. 

'Well, by the end of today you'll know him way better.' I started blushing at the thought of it. 'Why do you fall in love with the first person you meet at a lake? He...' I thought but the string brought itself up again reminding me that I couldn't break my felling for him even if I wanted to.

That's when my phone rang... I once again had to raced down to the room down stairs. I hated leaving my phone down there, but I managed to leave it, like always.

The number was one of my friends named Robin, she was a sweet kid with red hair. Only 15 years old and she was dating the captain of the football team. Made total since though, she was the head cheerleader. His name I forgot but he was 16. I didn't understand her and why she was with him.

"Robin, what's up?" I said silently

"You left..." She said her voice was shaken up really bad like if she was going to cry "Why did you leave us, Zoe? I can't believe you left... You left the wolf pack." She said started to cry.

Maybe I should have called because she was now crying and I wasn't near her to make her stop and tell her everything was going to be okay. Okay, she's also the weakest of our wolf pack. And the youngest, but we loved her anyway.

"I had to leave..." I said sadly closing my eyes I had to change the subject "Robin do you want to know something?" I said with a laugh on the end of my question

"Yes, Zoe. Of course I do." She said cheering up a little

"Well, I meet this boy named Jake..." I started to say but Robin cut me off

"OH MY GOD!!!! DID HE KISS YOU?" She yelled excitedly over the phone I had to move the phone away, that's how loud she is when she's excited, even over the phone.

"Well... It sort of went like that. But something way different." I said

Was this a glitch in my life? Well it seemed like one to me.

"What? Zoe, what do you mean?" She said confused a little

"He didn't kiss me first. I found myself at a lake, in the water, with this guy that I didn't know at all with his hands in my hair and mine around his waist. I loved it. Then he kissed me." I said blushing

"I wonder how that happened?" She said slowly and softly

"I feel like if there is this... This string that's pulling us together somehow." I said softly as I closed my eyes.

"What do you think the string is?" She said

"I don't know." I answered

"I think it's fate, girl. Fate has brought something together, if it's expected or not." She said

"Well then fate has done something really bad." I said sarcastically laughing

"Ya right." She said laughing along with me.

I closed my eyes as I silently counted on fate to be nice to me, but it didn't seem like if it was gonna be nice.
